I built a small dc motor for a class using an electromagnet and two AA batteries. The requirements limit me to only using (2) 1.5V batteries. I read that I can increase the torque by either increasing the magnetic field or increase the current. My goal is to lift as much as possible with it, and I am on a limited budget, so the increase in current sounds more desirable I think. Please help!

ok so there is this little black cat at my house and has been living out in the backyard for about a week now...we put some signs up to see if anybody had lost their cat and no one has called us back...we're going to take her to the vet next monday and if nobody claims her we're going to have to take her in....the problem is that we already have two 3 year old cats and i dont know how they will react to a new cat inside the house....should i bring the stray cat in and make my 2 cats adjust or is that going to be too hard and unfair to them...i think they might just fight each other all the time... do you think it is ok if i introduce a new cat to them when they are used to it only being the 2 cats...i dont know what to do =(

btw the stray cat is a girl and i have a girl and guy cat

I need you to help me with what would you do
You breed dogs and sell them.And 3 weeks latter one family calls you and said it's dead .First it is no fault of yours.You had puppies vet checked and no health problem.Both mom and dad were checked for health defects .It is not dead from any health defects .Was brought into the vet with blood in the mouth and dead.Your own vet talks to the vet of the family and all they can say is could be blunt force, poision,fall Now what do you do?
1 give them another puppy?
2 give them back 100 refund?
3 %? refund?
or just say I'm so sorry and no more? or do you have any other option? what would you do if this happen to you?

I took a beading class a little while ago, and I made a few cute bracelets and necklaces. Recently, though, I don't have any good ideas.

I "rescued" a cat from a friend who was sick of her antics who neglected to tell me she was in heat. Well- that was in August. She's usually very clingy and VERY hyperactive (which I like), but lately she's been even more so- I can't get her to settle down (she runs around my apartment and howls all night, knocks things over, swats at and scratches my feet while I'm trying to sleep). She's not mean, and she's VERY clean- she's just irritating.

Any advice?

Also- how often do cats go into heat?

If god is all powerful, then he could see into the future. so if he knows how each of us will end up, then there is a destiny. if there is a destiny then we don't have a choice. also if god is all-powerful then he created the "devil" and he created us. so he created a problem and a solution. hmmm.......doesn't sound very god like. when you think about it, why did he create us at all. he is all powerful, so the only reason to create us would be for his enjoyment. that's kinda selfish "god."
people need to stop having faith and use logic. seriously think about it. if you think you are insulting your god by questioning him, then that's not a god i would want to worship anyway.
do you agree?

Just bought a Toshiba hda3 and hooked a hdmi to dvi cable to my westinghouse TV. There is no sound. I changed the settings on the player to match the tv but still nothing. All I have left is to update the firmware but having trouble hooking it to the net. Not getting a gateway. Any ideas on the sound problem besides the firmware?

i learned long ago that my bf and his ex gf talk to each other from time to time, which didnt bother me because they live in different contininets but at the same time, makes me question if they still got love for each other and what not. i told this to my man and he said that to help me prove that he doesnt have feelings for her anymore, he would be upfront about it, like tell me all about it when she calls and what they talked about and so on and so forth. this came from him and he promised this was something he'd do, well i busted him the other day and saw that they'd talked for 1hr and half and when i asked him if they'd talk recently, he denied it so i told him that if he has to lie about it and hide it from me, then isn't as innocent as he says it is and i cant deal with that because obviously the trust issue has been broken, so as a result i ended a 4 year relationship. i am hurt but i feel they r doing wrong. how many of u keep in touch with an ex and hide it from ur bf/gf? y?

My mother had gastric bypass surgery almost exactly a year ago, four days before her birthday. I would love to make her a delicious dessert for her birthday this year - both to celebrate her birthday and her success with the surgery. She has lost over one hundred pounds, and is only ten pounds away from her goal weight!

She has been so good with the diet, and refrains from eating very fatty sweets, even though I know she craves them. Do you have any good desserts that are sweet (chocolatey, especially) and low-fat?
