The nominee for Attorney General, Michael Mukasey, is facing tough questions about water boarding, whether it should be considered torture or not.
Tell me, what do you think Al Quida, the Taliban or other terrorists think about this? Do you think they will change their ways and become our friends if the nominee calls water boarding torture and vows to stop it or do you think they are laughing hysterically as they make more IED's and bomb vests?

I asked this question a couple of hours ago and got confused by all the answers, so if you know, can you carefully describe why for me? This is what i asked before...

This is in chemistry and we have been doing all sorts of molality equations and so forth and have just been given this problem and not quite sure i follow.

We are asked in question 4:

Part A
What are the six types of radioactive decay?
I found that they were...
α emission, (alpha)
β emission (beta)
γ emission (gamma)
positron emission
electron capture
spontaneous fission

But then it asks in part B of the question...

Complete the following nuclear equations
a. proton -> neutron + ?
b. neutron -> proton + ?
c. proton + ? -> neutron

am i supposed to use one of the following types of radioactive decay? thanks for the help and assistance!

I noticed that many people, regardless of political affiliation, are bothered by the "press one for English" ordeal. It used to bother me until I realized that Europeans speak 3 or 4 different languages. Yet, many Americans can't even master the English language. Wouldn't it be great if America became more cultured and more affluent in other languages.
However, many people believe learning Spanish enables illegal immigrants. They also believe that this is an English speaking country. But what's wrong with broadening ourselves like the Europeans?! What's your opinion?!

I’m in a production at my university and there is another actress that seems to have a problem with me offstage. I have gotten many nasty comments from her in rehearsals and just ignored her or tried to say something nice to her and change the topic because I didn’t want my attitude to be negative to her on stage. Yesterday we were practicing a fight scene we are both in and she really hurt my arm and really hit me in the nose! I want to say it was an accident, but I really don’t think it was. I asked her to be more careful next time and that she really hurt me and she told me I “should shorten my nose”. This is very immature behavior for someone in their mid 20’s and I’m starting to really not feel comfortable working with her. I don’t trust her at all, which is really bad. My director saw what happened but just said that she needs to pay better attention to what she’s doing. Has anyone else had a problem like this with a fellow actor? How can I handle it professionally?

I was given this question in class today:
There are often conflicts between the levels of government. For ex: The issue of education. What is another example of an issue that has become a problem because of differing ideas/laws from the state to the federal level?

And here's what I've got for an answer: (What do you think?)

The first thing that comes to mind on conflicting ideas/laws is the serious issue of illegal immigration - to be more specific, providing illegal aliens with worker ID's and Driver's Licenses. A Minnesota state senator and NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer, stated that they were in favor of providing worker ID cards to illegal immigrants. Providing them with valid identification, allowing them to board planes!

Here's where I'm going with this - There is no federal law that prohibits it! The vast majority of states are strongly opposing this, but as you know, Federal Law trumps state law.

Does it even pertain to the question? Please help!
Thanks.
