You are missing the point about the debate on torture. Either something is wrong or it isn't. The kind of interrogation we use is not going to deter these people. Torture results in the victim confessing to anything to get relief. Terrorists use drills and hot irons in interrogations. They punish their children by having a car run over the child's arm. They feel that dying for their cause is their reward in this life.
On the other hand, we celebrate life. We are proud of our humanitarian values and do not wish to be in the same company as terrorists. Who cares if they laugh. They have little regard for human life. I think truth serum would work much better.

Who gives a flying leap what the 'terrorists' think about it; they are not the issue. The issue is: Do we--The American Citizenry--support torture as a means to an end or not? That is the issue.
They are not a threat to out way of life--they could drop twenty more twin towers and America would make it through. We are the threat to out own way of life, due to our hysterical reaction to the attacks. We are our own worst enemy by letting fear stampede us into the same savagery that we condemn in others!! T
Those insignificant cave dwellers are not the what this is about. This is about who we are; what we stand for; and how we wish to see ourselves.

Doesn't matter - every convention from the Army field manual, the UN and the Geneva Conventions call it torture and a crime.
John McCain was tortured and he calls waterboarding torture!
What part of that don't you understand?
It sounds like you support torture - do you?
We (US) prosecuted a Japanese Soldier after WWII for war crimes for using waterboarding on a GI.
The Spanish Inquisition used this tactic - do you want to be like them?
If so, what will you say, what can you say when OUR troops get tortured in retaliation? Not just beheaded and killed, but held for months or years on end and subjected to the most inhuman treatment you could imagine. What if this happened to your kid?
What moral high ground do you have to stand on?
After lowering yourself to that scummy level how could you say that you are any better than your enemy?

i think of Pelosi is a nightmare while in comparison with Bush. What people could desire to understand is that as quickly as you combat a conflict to win you may carry out a little issues that are no longer appetizing and not for dinner table verbal substitute. If our militia in WWII or Korea had their arms tied like Congress has tied the arms of our militia in Iraq and Afghanistan we does no longer have gained. no person is tying those Muslim hand nevertheless and so as that they chop off people's heads on movie to run it over all the cyber web. They rape and torture at will. i'm sorry if those words offend all and sundry yet i'm so ill of this techniques-set from people who could have the skill to think of it with the aid of and understand that the lives sacrificed via our women and men individuals interior the militia are a) sacrificed gladly to maintain their united states loose and you ingesting your twinkies and expounding on YA. b) What a bad waste this voluntary death is while we tie one hand in the back of their backs and say pass sic'em. conflict is He**. it relatively is actual yet quite some individuals do no longer prefer to understand how substantial the protection of our united states is. they like to have a say in militia concerns that they've not got a 'clue' approximately. Many, a lot of our our brave militia has been misplaced - killed without mercy - through stupid regulations the Liberal individuals prefer to tension on them. So proceed to assist them and the blood is on your arms, too. i'm ill of all you people who help the deaths of our troops via this ridiculous 'activity of regulations'. the militia has regulations. The conflict rule is termed "regulations of Engagement" examine it out. so some distance as torture is going, why can no longer we get suggestions needed on your protection. If a bomb explodes once you're at paintings or Walmart i'm hoping you have time to think of approximately what you have finished.

HHHMMMM, maybe I can offer a solution to this water boarding / torture situation.
Why doesn't the US military, CIA, etc, just hire some other country's military to obtain information, in some other country- place, however the other country's info gatherers want / need to / think necessary, that way, WE Americans will not be guilty of shiz, ( AND ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER SERVED IN THE ACTIVE MILITARY FORCES, DEFENDING THIS COUNTRY, AND THE "AMERICAN" RIGHTS AFFORDED TO THE REST OF THE WORLD)

Neither... waterboarding is not a factor for why thay are doing what they do or don't do. That is why we should uphold our traditional values and not torture.
Everybody just thinks that the terrorists are obsessed with what we think and therefore we should not speak of strategy or methods openly. The terrorists are going to keep doing what they have already and are doing; they really have not changed startegies themselves.... believe me, if they are analyzing what we are thinking it is only out of curiousity but not out of planning... they are going to do whatever they can do regardless of what we say or do (and this includes torturing them... it isn't a deterrent and it is not effective at gathering information... people will confess to anything under those conditions so why bother).

Most Americans don't care about the opinions of Osama bin Laden and his towel head, dress wearing punk friends.
It was President Reagan who declared water boarding to be illegal, and Reagan pulled U.S. troops out of the middle east because they're a destabilizing force there. The first Bush sent troops back into the Middle East and Bill Clinton maintained that military presence.
You have a problem with Reagan?

Probably amazed at our continued stupidity which continues to make us look weak.
Has no effect on what they are going to do and have been doing to our soldiers and journalists who have been captured.
They probably get a hoot out of the Democrats talking about what waterboarding does to our "moral superiority" since in radical Islam, Americans are the infidel and never had any "moral superiority" in the first place.
