Belief system and stewardship of earth are unrelated. You can find environmentalist creationists and environmental atheists. But, to take a side, if forced, I do find the religious right is more likely to be a denier or climate change and a believer in a divine right to use fauna as we see fit. They have this belief, based on biblical texts that the earth is our gift from God. "any you shall have dominion over all the beasts, etc". The old church was very mankind centric, the evolutionists tends to think more that we are but one player in a larger game and hence more likely to respect the other players.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Well, my answer is a bit biased as I am a creationist. My thermostat is at 65 and It's cold outside- but I am trying to conserve energy. My lightbulbs are the new compact florescent ones, I recycle more than I throw away. I am upset when I see communities growing fast when there are no resources to support them (not enough h2o, etc...) I buy resale when possible to conserve energy and resources. I don't drive a gas guzzler and I consolidate errands into as few trips as possible.

Am I an OK steward of GOd's gift of the earth?

Evolutionists are because they believe in the possibility of extinction. So they are vigilant against it's occurrence. Creationists don't, God created the world and all in it. Humans are incapable of causing the destruction of the world or the creatures on it, since God will end it in "His" own time. So why be dedicated stewards when it's all going away anyhow and you were also placed in dominion over it.

I think that Bar-stewards are the best kind of creations because they are usually the product of an unprotected one night stand and those are really really fun.

It appears to me that as 90% of scientist are Atheists, and are the only ones actively seeking what effects man has on the environment, that evolutionists are more responsible and better for the earth.

Creationists tend to spend more time trying to refute scientific findings, like global warming etc....

There's no such thing as evolutionists. Do you call yourself a gravitationist if you believe in gravity?...And creationists suck at caring for the planet. Those freaks are too far within a delusion to be of benefit to anyone or anything except increasing the influence of the delusion. And that's no benefit at all but a negative effect.

I understand evolution, but I don't understand what the word "steward" means... maybe because it's not a scientific term

I know both who are good stewards. Don't think one is better than the other.

Why would you think there would be?

There are evolutionist who care and don't care about the enviroment and there are creationist who care and dont' care about the enviroment.
