When Constantine decided to build a "New Rome" called Constantinople it became the center of the largely Christian empire. By this time, the church had evolved from a small, scattering of congregations to a geographically widespread church.
Many now believe that Christianity became the dominant religion of the Empire through the evangelical efforts of the early church during the fourth century. The evidence seems to show that this is not true; The Greek-Roman world was not converted to a new religion, but compelled to embrace it. The Emperor Theodosian issued a series of decrees or rescripts in the years 341-391.. The effect of these orders was to suppress all rival religions, order the closing of the temples, and impose fines, confiscation, imprisonment or death upon any who cling to the older Pagan religions.

Before he legitamized Christianity it wasn't thriving as history indicates so my question is do you think that..

0/mo.He gets upset with her talking to others,she says no sex or anything like that "just someone to live here to help me w/bills"..What are the chances that this is really the case? It just dont make sense to me however she is kinda nutty but i cant see that this is all there is.I how no vested intrest & i'm completely dumbfounded & just curious it just dont make sense. $450.00 sounds like a lot for a room,maybe shes crazier than i thought---or smarter than i thought ?Would you as a single woman @55yrs old let a cab driver move in for $450.00/mo just to help out w ur expenses without some hanky panky.I'm wonder if he is hiding from the law?How can she find out w/o getting caught?

It seems to me that following the 60's give grace and peace a chance movement allergies were less common world wide, nigh unto vanishing; And now since GWB's 'rule of law' has been pre-emptive war-ing, allergies have increased world wide, nigh unto a plague.

They sure don't come from the average shareholder in Dubuque who holds 106 shares of whatever stock. They derive either from the corporate executives, from other directors, or from the large, institutional shareholders--let's call ALL of those sources 'insiders'. The guy in Dubuque with 106 shares is decidedly NOT an insider, and he doesn't really own much, either, except a certain set of rights. But when the going gets tough and his little company goes in the tank, he'll find that what he 'owns' isn't much in comparison with what, gee, shall I say it?, the bondholders own.

I just found out I'm pregnant, and I'm wondering about decaffeinated coffee, non alcoholic beer and wine. Does anyone drink these things? I have organic decaff, so it doesn't use all the chemicals. Do the non-alc stuff have any alcohol in them at all? I'm hoping not, b/c I think that would be a nice alternative once in a while.

When women complain about things that aren't fair they are "fighting for equality" or "taking issue with unfairness" or "fighting discrimination." or any other phrase that seems noble & just. ...You can almost hear an anthem in the background as you envision an American flag waving.

When men complain, out comes the shaming language.

"Why are you whining?" "Why don't you just cry about it you crybaby" "Oh, let's get the Waaaaaa-mbulance." People's brains go into a 6 year old mentality & out come the schoolyard insults.

Men that fight a slanted system are met with immaturity & hostility. People have been trained like little circus monkeys that "men have it great & women are downtrodden."

People's heads are stuck in the 1960s.

It's hysterical.
