sounds a bit harsh to me, as if, even if we follow to the best of our abilities and live lives that are clean in thought, word and deed, we are still unlikely to reach the Kingdom of Heaven.

With quotes like this in the Bible, it is beyond me why people follow religion at all! I'm not knocking anybody because i used to go to church and still believe to a certain extent but it seems a like a long shot to me that if you follow and live a clean life, you still might not get into heaven cos only a few do.

What's the point in all of this persecution and martyrdom for a religion that doesn't even guarantee a reward at the end when it says in other parts of the Bible that all followers will receive tha kingdom of heaven as their reward.

Help to explain this to me please because quite frankly it sounds a tad absurd!

that followers of the abrahamic faith, like muslims, jews and christians blindly follow teachings they don't fully understand.
These guys blindly accuse us of witchcraft and divination, worshipping false gods etc.. When they have groups within their faiths, kabballists with jews, sufi's with muslims, gnostics with christians who practice divination, witchcraft, and worship deities, who learn to fully understand the way scripture was written, ie: it makes more sense. Almost like the mystic work was always there, but needed a solid religion to follow it.
So from a pagan view, it's paganism/wicca just with solid background, even in freemasonry, the initiated/adept, as he progresses, learns that versus etc have double meanings and are written a certain way that usually the enlightened can understand.
What you think?

We all have days where we feel less than 100%, for one reason or another. Rather than stick your head in the sand...what's the most effective pick-me-up for you?

eg: a book, texting a friend, a cuppa, a fave film, walking the dog, cuddling the cat, going for a walk etc, etc.

I auditioned for Godspell about a week ago. I am really excited to see what part I get!!!! I have light brown hair, blue green eyes, and 4'11 and 105 pounds. I'm also 11 years old. I'm pretty loud, fun, and kinda tomboyish.
Here is my theatre experience:

Goin' Buggy!- Lead Ladybug
Elfis and the Sleigh Riders- Reindeer
Aladdin Jr.- Kazoul
Once Upon A Mattress-Lady Rowena

So, as you can see, I havent had too much sucess with getting good parts... Anyway, at the audition I sang "Many Moons Ago" from Once Upon a Mattress. I thought I sounded pretty good, but the director didn't stand up and cheer...
Anyways, what part do I deserve?

as an Englishman and owner of many major US based companies I feel I must ask this.
Many of the Americans that I own are very nice and they work very hard when pushed, but they cant shoot things properly and their aim is always out.
As we all know Americans soldiers have the same problem, which makes me ask these questions.
1)Do Americans have bad eye sight?
2)Are American gun barrels bent?
3)Are Americans just stupid?
You decide

It has to be NO caffeine at all, so not decaf coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. And, herbal teas are out too. I was thinking steamed milk could work, but what do you put in steamed milk to make it taste good??
