how this: i gave a friend a ride home from work one night. as thanks we stopped at a store and bought some things, and he bought me a scratch off lottery ticket. it was about 1) or 11 at night. so i go to scratch off the ticket to see if i won and he said "no. wait until tomorrow to scratch it off because only so many people can win in one day and since the day's over almost everbody who will win today has. wait until tomorrow morning when your chances of winning are better because in the morning there wont be as many winners that day."
in case your wondering i did wait until the morning and won $75. do you think i would have lost if i scratched it off the night before?

That depends. Did he say his sarcastic "Hello" as he was climbing into bed? and If it was an electric stove turned on lowest warm setting, a large kettle full of water, was up late and so only had a few hours before the alarm went off...this would still only make sense if you have new batteries in your smoke alarms, (which I hope you have recently checked on). I had a roomate once that was that dense...as much as wanted to keep helping him, it was finally just too much to bear.

If he switched the kettle and then transfer the hot water to thermos vaccum flask is really to save time in the morning for his coffee and go with his another routine to make him fast to his job, what so ever.

Yeah its like packing your lunch the night before and leaving it in the fridge. or Laying out your work clothes too, to save time when you get up.

My fiance sleeptalks and has made countless illogical statements. But I think the most illogical one to date has to be when he had just woke up, looked at me, and said, "I think today we should prop your bagel up with my sword" ...Yeah I dont know what it means either.

No need to stress about it.:-) I think basically all of us has the natural tendency to be illogical at some point or another. We may strive for perfection but we are not perfect. :-)
