who is tired of everybody bashing taekwondo all the time??? sure its not an overall martial art and some of the techniques arent practical but some of you people make it sound as if EVERY technique in taekwondo is useless and going to do more damage to you than to your opponent. also, apparently according to the bashers taekwondo is the only martial art that has mcdojos. EVERY martial art has mcdojos, it's just that it's the most popular in the u.s. so of course there are more mcdojos than any other martial art there are more legitimate schools too!

If you were raised away from any sorts of religion. If you had never heard of Jesus or God, and then one day, you hear your friend talking about a being in the sky who does all the wonderful things he does, wouldn't you think he was absolutely crazy?

Last year we had a bunch of trick or treaters, and we gave out good stuff -- and ran short towards the end.

This year we laid in a supply of candy that would choke a horse, but had only about ten children show up.

My partner's diabetic and I'm on a strict diet regimen, so what do I do with all these extra candy? Lordy, you could build a small retaining wall with the stuff.

Suggestions?

I've heard the new Avenged Sevenfold album and what happened? It seems like they sold out before they ever reached their potential. I like Synyster Gates as a guitarist, but all he seems to do is sweep picking. M Shadows was a good screamer and his singing is decent. But what the hell did they do with their new album? I understand that they wanted to move it in another direction, but damn. I liked a lot of their old stuff and I even liked some of their City of Evil stuff. I know there are those who were never into them, but for those who do like them, are you pretty dissappointed by the new album?

I have a 1994 toyota tercel with only 72,000 miles on it. I've owned it for under a year. I bought it for $3,000. I've so far put over $2000 in repairs into it. New gas tank (old rusted out), entire new exhaust (old rusted out), new radiator. I've been told I'm looking at another $700 in repairs because fuel lines are rusting out . I've found a 2003 Toyota echo for $8000; 60,000 miles on it, very good shape, one owner, no rust. Should I bite the bullet and buy a newer car? Or hold onto the 94 toyota because it has low miles?

I want to buy some shoes that are good for running. Currently I have converse shoes, with probably aren't the best on my feet when I run. I want cute women's running shoes that LOOK GOOD WITH JEANS. So many running shoes just look ridiculous with jeans...

Are there any that look cute with jeans?!
My neighborhood friend and I hang out outside a lot, just running around with my dog, and hanging out. We always end up running, so I want some good shoes for it...
I just can't justify spending the money on running shoes if they don't look good with jeans, cuz I don't want them JUST for running.

It seems pretty common to me that a politically conservative person is usually religious. Do you (as a person of religion) let your faith control every decision you make? Is religious influence the reason that conservative political parties seem more united? If this is the case, who is really making the moral decisions?
