Either is equally bad if you are sensitive to the venom. My personal horror (in the Pacific Northwest) is a "brown recluse" spider, which has a 90% fatality rate over all people bitten. Scorpions and black widow spiders have a relatively low mortality rate compared to the brown recluse. And then there is a spider, a funnel web spider in Australia which has a 99.9% mortality rate. So, it boils down to your personal level of sensitivity to the venom which each has as a defense mechanism.

Scorpion. The black widos posion may be worse. This one time a young lady walked into a cobeb in the middle of the forest and she looked like she as 80 afterards

Neither are very dangerous. Depends on what type of scorpian.
The black widow spiders venom is quite weak actually. A friend of mine in Texas was doing work under his house, was bitten over a dozen times. No big deal.

Either way I'd be having a heart attack...You can die from both of them...but I'd be dead before they even got to me...lol.
I think I could face the scorpion better because spiders just creep me out really bad.
Gah...I'm gonna be scared to go to bed now...thank you sooo much. lol.

I will take the scorpion
both are indigenous to my area but the scorpion sting won't kill you, it just hurts like hell for about 12 hours (learned from experiance
