I just answered a question about a girl wanting to knock down a squirrel's nest in her tree. How is it that I've lived 37 years and never knew squirrels made nests? I thought they lived in holes in trees or empty logs and such. Do they really build nests llike a bird??

If a child had, for example, a Dutch mother and a French father, could he/she learn to speak both languages as easily as just one simply by the parents interacting with the child in both languages from birth? Also taking into account that an even split of both languages would be spoken by other members of family, friends etc as the child is growing up.

Being a parent changes everything. But being a parent also changes with each baby. Here are some of the ways having a second and third child is different from having your first.

Your Clothes

1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy.
2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.

3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes.

---------------

Preparing for the Birth

1st baby: You practice your breathing religiously.

2nd baby: You don't bother practicing because you remember that last time, breathing didn't do a thing.

3rd baby: You ask for an epidural in your 8th month.

---------------

The Layette

1st baby: You pre-wash your newborn's clothes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau.

2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains.

3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can't they?

My late grandmother did a lot of sewing. Her house is filled with bolts of fabric of all sorts, along with sewing notions, buttons, spools of thread, etc. I have found several charities that accept donations of cotton fabric, but I don't know what to do with the synthetic fabrics -- e.g. polyester. Is there any charity that might be interested in these? Or can polyester fabric be recycled? I don't want to just dump it in a landfill -- so unecological! Thanks!

I've heard on several talk radio shows about a Marine sergeant suing a U.S. senator for defamation (either Reid or Murtha) because he called U.S. troops in Iraq murderers. Don't know much of the details, but I do know the statement was made out in public (not from the Senate floor) and that the judge involved has ruled that the senator will, at least, have to respond to the complaint.

Can anyone give me more details and what the status of the case is currently?

Also, why have I heard nothing about this on the liberal media?

Im a single male in my early thirties and I do not want to get married or have any kids ever. I dont want the financial burden. I dont want the responsibility, and I dont want the drama. The pain out weighs the pleasure. Can a man live a purposeful life with out a wife and just a girlfriend and no kids. And if so how ?

last night i asked a question about spaying and neutering pets. the general concensus seemed to be that everyone agreed that these are necessary evils in order to prevent the effects of overpopulation of animals. just as spaying and neutering has now become commonplace, do you see abortion eventually becoming the norm as a means of not only birth control, but population control as well? indeed, the earth is only so big. it is estimated within the next 60 years the population of the earth will double to approximately 13billion people. some countries, such as china, already rely on abortion as a means of population control. do you suppose when the u.s. starts feeling the effects of overpopulation abortion won't be seen so much as ungodly, but necessary?

Most of you worship Pop stars Celebrities' you make your own little alters, with their pictures on the walls you go to there concerts' pay big money stand for hours in the weather to glimpse them,
Since science has devalued religion you have substituted God with Pop stars, You make remarks about the coffers in the church [collections] but are you doing exactly the same
contributing your money to those Celebrities, You may say
O'h but it gives us happiness and its not the same 'wrong''
Christians get the same buzz as you do, You are reading every gossip about celebrities like the Christians reading their scripts,
You are looking for something to fill that empty vacuum,
My grammer is poor my apology.
