I have a site, i made a site map link, but google said i needed a xml site map? so i searched around google and i ended up here http://www.sitemapspal.com/ its an automated way of creating xml sitemaps. now i have the code saved it in my notepad uploaded to my remote server now what? do i have to remove my html site map link? do i have to paste codes to my other pages? i am so lost help!

I suggest you use this site:
http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
It has step by step instructions on what to do.
Basically once you have generated your sitemap, you call the file: sitemap.xml and upload that into the public_html folder at you webhost via FTP or cpanel.
Then notify Google that you have a sitemap with this address:
http://www.yoursitename.com/sitemap.xml
To check it is working, type the above address into your browser and you should see your sitemap.

You can use a free scripts to generate xml or text based sitemaps. Its not that hard. You can find good sitemap scripts here: http://best-php-scripts.com/sitemap_scripts.htm
