I really want to know. Are you seriously trying to tell me that some all-powerful, infinitely merciful God would take affront to being mocked and made fun of?

Isn't Jesus supposed to be the best friend we ever have? Well, every really good friend I ever had was somebody I busted balls with. If Jesus was really a good friend of mine, you know what I would say to him: "Hey, Jesus, buddy, you look like a ******* hippie. Cut your your hair, dude. And change out of the dress, you ******* queen!" Of course, if I was really close, tight friends with a guy who was as cool as some people say Jesus was, I wouldn't really care if he was a dress wearing hippie. But I'd make fun of him for it, like he'd make fun of me for being an under-achieving stoner or something like that.

So why do some of you fundies always say "God cannot be mocked!"? I don't think he cares. No, I think he actually laughs along. And then we all have a good laugh at you people who get indignant. We and God laugh at you!

Im going to my cousins wedding tommorow. I was basically forced into it, due to the guilt trip by all my family members. I am a single mom, and i work a LOT...we get by just fine, but i dont have a lot of extra money. I got her a card, and examined my budget to see what i can afford to give her...and thats 20 bucks. Is it like a slap in the face to get 20 bucks as a wedding gift? Should i give it, or give just the card? She isnt expecting much from me, as that was one of the conditions when i reluctantly agreed to go to the wedding...i just dont want to be rude...which would be better? Both me and my son are attending, so its for 2 people.

There was a movie I watched when I was a kid. It is about this little boy digging a whole in his backyard, I guess the whole thing was that it went down to hell and this hug devil came out at the end. I dont remember too much about the movie but I think there was a part where the little boy looked down at his hand and say an eye and then poked it out. Sorry its not alot, but help!

Just bought a house and the garage has a 3 wire feeder and iam looking for the safest temporary fix until i can get a new feeder trenched in. Would it be safer to pound a ground rod and isolate my grounds and neutrals for a few weeks or should i just leave it with the grounds and neutrals together for the time being

A bit of history for you. In the 1980s, the social security fund was in serious trouble over cost of living increases, which were tied into the system by law.
The solve the impeding shortfalls, the formula for calculating inflation was changed. Energy cost, food, medical and prescribtion drug cost, and many other staples of everyday life were given less weight in the formula. Items that historically drop from year to year, like TVs, computers and other electronics were given more weight in the formula.
Basically, the things you most most of you money on isn't even considered in inflation these days.
Just this week it was announced that people on social security would get the lowest increase in history, 2.1%. This was lauded as a triumph in flation, yet food, gas, heat will all cost more money.
Increases in the cost of these items are now called the declining dollar value.
Call it what you want. It's still inflation.

I would like some practical advice without the preaching or judgment that normally arise with this topic. I have serious issues with food which I am actively trying to overcome. The problem is I swing violently between not eating at all and being super thin to eating moderate amounts of generally healthy food but finding myself compelled,(and I do), to throw up and being a healthy but still slim size. I feel so torn and confused, I am trying to get better but when I do start to eat well and start to put on weight,I panic and become severely bulimic. My mental state is frazzled and jittery when I am in that phase. I am severely stressed and anxious and the self loathing is immeasurable. However when I don't eat it eliminates all the internal stress because I just don't think at all about food. I feel better with the anorexia, my weight issues are easier,(because I know I'm slim), I just feel more stable and I'm no where near as anxious. I also have bipolar, what do I do?????????????????

Generally, some of the happiest partners are the ones that have a great, healthy sex life. Just don't mean the act of penetration. It's the overall connection they develop through great communication, intimacy, and openness.

I also believe if we make passion and intimacy a habit, make time for it even in the busiest of times, and the do the best we can even if we had like 10 minutes... Just a little romance can go a long way. Something done to surprise her...... something intense and spontaneous.... even something very playful.

What's your thoughts on how we can make passion an integral part of our lives??
