Many may make the argument that Islam is an understanding, peaceful religion, but if one were to literally read the Koran for what it says they would find a much different meaning. The Koran is filled with verses speaking of war against the unbelievers. In 9:73, the Koran states, “Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home.” In 47:4, it states, “When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads and when you have laid them low, take their captives firmly.” In 4:76, it states, “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject faith fight in the cause of evil so fight ye against the friends of Satan.” In 9:5, it states, “Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them and take them captive, and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush.” Clearly, verses like this are going to prevent many fundamentalist Muslims from accepting rule from a Wes
