I just finished my 2nd year at an univeristy. I am hoping to apply to a law school but my GPA is very low (2.2 to be exact). Someone told me that if i do extremely well on the second half my univeristy years combined with a fairly good LSAT scores, I have a good chance of getting into a decent law school. Is this true? or should i just give up?

Faith seems to go beyond belief. Can you explain how?

Mark 4:40: He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

Mark 5:34: He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Mark 16:14: Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Luke 17:6: He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.

My hubsand works for Lowes. He gets paid every other week. 10 percent of his check goes into their employee stock purchase plan. Every 6 months whatever he has paid into the espp lowes matches some of it then buys the stock for him. My hubsand plans on staying with Lowes for the rest of his working career. He has a good job with them and he is moving up in the company. Right now he is just a delivery driver, but he is one of the highest paid. They have already talked with him about moving into management. He has to go through some training and he knows that. He thinks putting money into the stock purchase plan every pay check for the next 30 years till he retires will be what we use to live on after we retire. Is this true? Right now he has roughly 3000 dollars in stock with lowes. And that is just from Nov of last year and May of this year. Do you think he is doing the right thing or should he be taking the money and putting it into a savings account that draws intrest?

My 10 month old baby has only been breastfed and has 9 teeth. I have had a few minor biting injuries before, but right now both nipples are injured due to him biting, and its so bad that I am trying not to cry every time he nurses. Because of this I am tense and I suspect that he is not getting as much milk as normal.
So I went to the Dr. for a 9 month check up a couple weeks ago and she suggested that I switch to formula or WHOLE MILK, becuase we have tried formula in the past and he would not drink it. She said that as long as I make sure he gets enough iron in his diet,( he is eating baby food with cereal 4 times a day), that he will be fine with out formula or breastmilk.
Okay, so here's my question, has anyone switched to whole milk before their baby was a year? I really don't want suggestions on the biting because I have tried everything, and in truth I am just done breatfeeding. I am a full time student and don't have the time or patience to pump.

In a recent post, a protestant wrote: "It's sad but true that the father of the protestant reformation [Luther] was a rabid jew-hater. Fortunately, most of those who, today, follow the protestant christian message have purged themselves of this hatred."

Now, I find this ironic. Two of the many favorite weapons Fundies use against Catholics are the Inquisition and the Crusades. So, a protestant can wash his hands of the Jew-hating Luther, the witch trials (which were in our own country!) and Henry VIII's murder and supression of Catholics, but they still tie us to the 1000-year old Crusades.
Only one word comes to mind: HYPOCRITES

Here's the deal. I have 200A service. The main panel has a 100A 120/240V breaker serving a 100A sub panel. In the sub panel I have a 3.5Ton a/c compressor on a 30A breaker (air handler/furnace is served from the main panel), an electric dryer on a 20A or 30A breaker, and all the lights and outlets for the 1st floor of my house (including a kitchen) on other 10, 15 and 20 amp breakers. I currently have a gas range. Generally, can I add a 30A or 50A circuit for an electric double wall oven?

The following is taken from a Florida newspaper:
A man was working on his motorcycle on his patio and his wife was in the house in the kitchen. The man was racing the engine on the motorcycle and somehow, the motorcycle slipped into gear. The man, still holding the handlebars, was dragged through a glass patio door and the motorcycle dumped onto the floor inside the house.

The wife, hearing the crash, ran into the dining room, and found her husband laying on the floor, cut and bleeding, the motorcycle laying next to him and the patio door shattered. The wife ran to the phone and summoned an ambulance. Because they lived on a fairly large hill, the wife went down the several flights of long steps to the street to direct the paramedics to her husband.

After the ambulance arrived and transported the husband to the hospital, the wife uprighted the motorcycle and pushed it outside. Seeing that gas had spilled on the floor, the wife obtained some papers towels, blotted up the gasoline, and threw the towels in the toilet.

The husband was treated at the hospital and was released to come home. After arriving home, he looked at the shattered patio door and the damage done to his motorcycle. He became despondent, went into the bathroom, sat on the toilet and smoked a cigarette. After finishing the cigarette, he flipped it between his legs into the toilet bowl while still seated.

The wife, who was in the kitchen, heard a loud explosion and her husband screaming. She ran into the bathroom and found her husband laying on the floor. His trousers had been blown away and he was suffering burns on the buttocks, the back of his legs and his groin.

The wife again ran to the phone and called for an ambulance. The same ambulance crew was dispatched and the wife met them at the street. The paramedics loaded the husband on the stretcher and began carrying him to the street.

While they were going down the stairs to the street accompanied by the wife, one of the paramedics asked the wife how the husband had burned himself. She told them and the paramedics started laughing so hard, one of them tipped the stretcher and dumped the husband out. He fell down the remaining steps and broke his arm.

Now THAT is a bad day.....

Did you feel good when you ex kept calling you for days, weeks, even months after you two broke it off? Did it give you an ego of some sort, that he or she was still trying to see or get back with you (even though you did not want them).

If so, why?

As far as I'm concerned that's another way to force people to be politically correct & not have a mind of your own. Since i was a kid it was always Merry Christmas but now all fo a sudden b/c some ppl want to make this a religious fight now they are trying to force the public to say Happy Holidays. I still say Merry Christmas regardless. This is in no way trying to bash anyone or any holidays but i don't see anyone trying to make a controversial thing when someone says Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa. It's only a problem when someone says Merry Christmas. It's another obvious double standard against christianity. My opinion is if you don't want to say Merry Christmas don't say it. Don't take away other people's right to say it. Same way with me if i don't want to say Happy Holidays. It's my right to say Merry Christmas if that's what i choose. Not a bashing thing against anyone. Just my honest opinion.
