Faith seems to go beyond belief. Can you explain how?

Mark 4:40: He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

Mark 5:34: He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Mark 16:14: Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Luke 17:6: He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.

It's night here and I believe the sun is shining on another part of the world. Belief is just an acknowledgment of what you think is true. No action is required.
If I have faith, whether in the god of Abraham or another god, I must act on that faith. I must make an effort and do my part.

As James said
"What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?"....

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone....

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."

Belief is acknowledgement that something exists, is true, etc. Faith is tailoring your actions to fit that belief. It is believing in things that are unseen.
