Whats going on with Michigan? Were falling apart slowly and were just sitting here, its like an abandoned state. I love Michigan and have lived here all my life and feel helpless, I feel like theres nothing i can do to help. I've been wondering why there has been no riots yet, or why Granholm has not been impeached yet. She just threw the state down the toilet. Kilpatrick is in trouble with the law at least once a year, just to let you know hes the mayor of Detroit, hes done absolutely nothing to help or rebuild Detroit. Why is the government ignoring this mess we live in? How cant hey sleep knowing we live a disaster. We deserve better then this.

I'm talking about the formation of the bible in the year 500 AD.

Who gave the authority to men to decide what books should be included, and excluded, from The Holy Bible....wouldn't that make the books that were not included Unholy?

They testify of the life of Jesus...so if they said those books are unholy(or evil in some sense) wouldn't that be almost the same thing as saying the life of Jesus, through these people's eyes, is evil....in some sense of the word?

If God wanted to determine which books were Holy and which were not...wouldn't He have had the disciples write them earlier...and then have Jesus aprove of them?

I dunno...to me it just seems unfair for some guy to say "oh yeah...I like the book of John it's good....ohhhhhhh the book of Thomas? Not so good...burn it."

basically im am wet almost 24/7..i dont have any infections or anything. colour is always a cleary/white colour. im 18 and have started getting it more and more since i was 15. i have to keep goign to the toilet to wipe myself.. even when im not excited i get it..and it all comes out at once sometimes..help? does anyone else get this?

I just started a newspaper route and they dont dedcut taxes. I know if i dont take out the taxes when i cash the check i will be screwed when tax time comes. How do i figure out much money i need to take out each paycheck? Can someone help please

Atheists say we are hypocrites. Atheists are constantly judging people, especially Christians. So the atheists are the hypocrites, not the Christians. They also say that we are always quoting from the bible. Well, they are always quoting from "The God Delusion" (what irony! They are delusional!). The hypocrisy never ends with atheists. It's sad really.
Atheists are of this world and like this world, they are doomed. Christians are "in" the world, but not "of" it. We are saved. Not everyone can or will be saved, and the atheists are not going to be saved. I know I am saved.

What do you guys think about the name Langtry for a girl? it's a family name, but it hasn't been used in a while so I was considering it. The nickname usually ends up being Lang.

Is it too weird? (I know it's a surname also.) I was thinking of combining it with a really girly, feminime middle name, maybe... any thoughts?

"That [the Separate Car Act] does not conflict with the Thirteenth Amendment, which abolished slavery...is too clear for argument...A statute which implies merely a legal distinction between the white and colored races -- a distinction which is founded in the color of the two races, and which must always exist so long as white men are distinguished from the other race by color -- has no tendency to destroy the legal equality of the two races...The object of the [Fourteenth A]mendment was undoubtedly to enforce the absolute equality of the two races before the law, but in the nature of things it could not have been intended to abolish distinctions based upon color, or to enforce social, as distinguished from political equality, or a commingling of the two races upon terms unsatisfactory to either." [5]
The lone dissenter, Justice John Harlan, showed incredible foresight when he wrote

"Our Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens. In respect of civil rights, all citizens are equal before the law...In my opinion, the judgment this day rendered will, in time, prove to be quite as pernicious as the decision made by this tribunal in the Dred Scott case...The present decision, it may well be apprehended, will not only stimulate aggressions, more or less brutal and irritating, upon the admitted rights of colored citizens, but will encourage the belief that it is possible, by means of state enactments, to defeat the beneficient purposes which the people of the United States had in view when they adopted the recent amendments of the Constitution." [6]
Over time, the words of Justice Harlan rang true. The Plessy decision set the precedent that "separate" facilities for blacks and whites were constitutional as long as they were "equal." The "separate but equal" doctrine was quickly extended to cover many areas of public life, such as restaurants, theaters, restrooms, and public schools. Not until 1954, in the equally important Brown v. Board of Education decision, would the "separate but equal" doctrine be struck down.
