I left because when I was doing doctoral research (Comparative Religions - Duke University) I discovered that Jesus never existed and that the same is likely true for Moses.
Not to mention all the thousands of problems with the Bible (Textus Receptus) - Translations - no original MSS, forgeries, politics, rip-off's etc, etc, etc.

I realized that knowing what i know - anyone would be a fool to base his or her life on such a thing.

about Baptism?

Is it simply a symbolic gesture and an empty ritual? Or is the Holy Spirit truly at work, bestowing graces upon the newly baptised?

In either case, why would anyone be opposed to an innocent baby being baptised?

Another year and another slew of t.v. shows. Once again 40Million plus african americans can expect to be ignored. The big 4 still will not have a black central drama. Romantic love will still be a tacked on after thought to the continuous sack romp by the white co-stars. Blacks will still be buddy or composite characters in ensemble cast. The chappelle show addressed race from a realistic perspective, not the whitestream one that we are constantly indoctrinated in by the news and other media. Ali G, Extras and the borat movie prove that there is a demand for using humor for the most sensitive subjects. Network television has all but ignored it, except for the office(which went from the bbc to cable 1st)....continued.....

we live just done the street from his grandmothers house were his sister lives at and i feel as i don't have any family time or privacy because they come down to use the computer or his nephew will come to the house and start playing the play station without asking. we went to subway to eat last night and they had to come too and on top of it he had to buy them supper because she was broke and said she would pay him back this weekend. she want pay him back. we are renting this house and there is no other house open. they are about to drive me crazy and he doesn't see my side of it. we go to his grandmas house to eat with them and i don't like going over there all the time. his mom is in jail for selling Rx drugs and they both have power of attorney over her stuff and they have to get together to do stuff for her. how would you handle this

We all know that sarcasm is the lowest form of humour, and that it generally lacks intelligence or imagination (except in the case of Troll Shark, who has elevated it to a wonderful art form). But time and again, I see it used in the responses here. Sure, the trolls use it, but I'm really not directing this at them...I'm directing it at the intelligent women who frequent this forum. Why do you use sarcasm in your responses? If you know that it will not differentiate you from those you seem to loathe or those for whom you have no respect, why do you stoop to their level?
