i have a sister who is so mature, and she's 14, and i'm 18, and i'm so immature. i agree with you, they need to loosen up, and have some fun without caring what other people think.

I don't think the problem is them being mature, but I feel like the problem is more or less YOUR problem with them being mature.

Being mature all the time is not a bad thing. There is a sense of humour to the more serious ones, but its more of a dry sarcastic sense of humour. Why don't you ask this person to tell you a story of something they thought was completely hilarious, or maybe suggest a movie that they think is funny.

What if this persons thinks that maybe you're not so immature? Is there a way that maybe around them, you could be a little more on their level, and limit your "chilled out" times to only when you're around you more "chilled out" friends? It always goes both ways you know?

I'm sure you have a great time with this person either way, otherwise this person would not be a friend. But, try compromising a bit, and delving further into their personality. You might be surprised at exactly how chilled out they can be!

No. That maturity came at a "cost". And no person in their right mind is going to give that up- to look like something they're not.
