Most religions claim to be religions of a book dictated by God. For Judaism, it is the Torah. For Muslims, it is the Quran.

Christians seem to be divided on this point. Catholics point to John I, where we learn that the Word was made flesh and lived among us. In John 21, we learn that most of Christ's actions and teachings are not in the Bible; "If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." Catholics rely on the original Christians' memories of Christ's teachings preserved in other early Christian writings.

Protestants, on the other hand, restrict our knowledge sources to the books selected in the biblical canon. They follow Jews and Muslims in creating a religion of a book, rather than a religion of the Word.

I know that there is not one specific exercise that will allow you to loose weight from your face, but how much of a difference would losing 5-10 pounds overall affect my facial appearance? I can tell that I have the potential for showing some good bone structure, but right now its kinda covered with fat I guess. The thing is though that I dont have a big body and I am fairly thin so my face looks out of proportion; however, I can loose 5-10 pounds and still be a healthy weight.

Its a situation I have seen countless times in my life and am sure others have as well.
A couple has an argument and the cops are called. The woman has no marks on her at all and the man has scratches on his face,arms and whatever.
The police ask the woman her version of the story and she cries he beat me.(still no marks on her and no blood)
They either dont ask the man at all or ask him then arrest him for domestic violence leaving her free???

Please dont say it never happens because I know it does because I have seen it several times.

Erm...when I was eleven I think my grandfather raped me, whilst I was asleep in his house. I'm not sure whether he actually did thoough, because I dont really remember any of it, its very fuzzy and its more the aftermath that makes me remember it...if that makes sense. I'm fifteen now....and I dont know what to do. The memories I've repressed are coming back but the memories are very basic..I cant stand him touching me or talking to me. He leers at me sometimes in a really horrible way. I'm very nervous, i cant sleep away from home, I check closets for men before I go to sleep.....

Religion has played an influence on the laws that define right & wrong and what is moral in almost every nation on Earth. Christianity for example heavily influenced laws in the US and Europe.

If there is no God, no life after death and therefore no fear of being held responsible for what we do here on earth, what purpose does morality have?

If this is all there is to existence, ultimately it would seem right & wrong are irrelevant and all that truly matters is how one chooses to make the best of this life, even if that means indulging in the most evil and wicked of behavior/actions.

The candle that burns the brightest, also burns the shortest.

It seems in the Atheist universe, being the candle that burns brightest and the one that is long remembered, should be the goal of every human, even if the path is one of evil and destruction.

I really want to go back and do this past weekend differently.

Friday night- only thing workded out was the beginning.
Late friday night- sports car sits on the side of the road brokedown. Some guy on drugs tried to harrass me.


Saturday- argued with just about everyone in my family and hung up on them (guess i was just stressed.. and still am)

Saturday night- my glass top table falls over and breaks all the china

Sunday- repeat of saturday and car still sits on the side of the road (hopefully)
I think today my sister is getting it moved to my house. OH, IT IS ONLY SIX MILES OR SO FROM MY HOUSE.

Okay , heres what happens .Im searching on Yahoo , I click on a link to a website . I then get routed to a bunch of totally different "search" pages . I click the back button on the browser but it will not let me go back to Yahoo .I have to retype the Yahoo address in the address section on my browser to go back to yahoo . I have popup blocker enabled , I also have McAfee Virus Protection.Is there a easy solution to this??????
