Its a situation I have seen countless times in my life and am sure others have as well.
A couple has an argument and the cops are called. The woman has no marks on her at all and the man has scratches on his face, arms and whatever.
The police ask the woman her version of the story and she cries he beat me.(still no marks on her and no blood)
They either dont ask the man at all or ask him then arrest him for domestic violence leaving her free???

Please dont say it never happens because I know it does because I have seen it several times.

Yes I agree this used to happen. Years ago. I personally have arrested far more women than men for domestic violence. Nowadays if both parties have injuries and there is no way to prove "primary aggressor..." then no one usually goes to jail. Not without witnesses. His wounds could have been defensive(from being attacked). I agree that is unfair, but so was that type of behavior being allowed or ignored by the police a long time ago. Both were wrong. Maybe you should become a cop and help do it right?

The problem with this situation is that it is alot more common and alot more seen that the men are the ones that usually hit the women so the police always blame men. but you are right alot of times the women are at fault and if this is happening to you then i suggest you get some help, because you dont wanna have to be going to jail everytime you have an argument that first of all you might not even start and well why have to go to jail for domestic violence if you didnt even hit her. whenever she hits you try calling the cops on her. but my best reccomendations is to get help from a proffesional im sure that there are alot places you can go to try a local mhmr. and careful with the decisions you take

Well... Most times it is because the man starts it. All he may have done if push her, ( which wont leave marks ) and she defends herself. Now while defending herself she may tear the guy a new a**hole, but because he is the one who started it, he is the one who gets taken off to jail. Also alot of state laws lean more to the female side of the arguement ( since men are supposed to ber bigger and stronger ) even though i have seen many a feman that can kick more butt then 5 men.

If the stories of the participants indicate that the male struck first and the woman was defensive, then it makes sense.

I think in our society men are in the habit of punching or striking with the hand, while women sometimes scratch. Maybe because women have long nails and men usually don't. The men's punches don't usually produce immediate blood or marks.

because they like our government are more willing to believe and support the side of the weaker sex, since women are generally regarded as weaker, or the side of the minority, the same way that a black person will get any retribution for an act long before a white person would

Most of the time they can tell, and although he is put in the car and taken away, they might test him at the station to see if he is lying..
