Started in a job 4 months ago on probation term.

The probation term was for 3 months. This was extended by 5 days because I was authorised to take a week's holiday.

I was only told the probation period would be extended verbally - this was never confirmed in print.

My probation finished on September 18th (originally supposed to be the 11th). On the day, I wasn't told anything. When I asked what was going on, a letter was given to me advising that it had been extended by another week. There was no explanation as to why in the letter other than to say they wanted to continue assessing the role. When I asked why, I was told that I couldn't be given a reason!

The following week I was told I didn't have the job as it was felt I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure. This had never been mentioned before and I am now out of a job. I was given a letter that just said my employment was terminated - no reason is given.

Is this all legal? What are my rights?

Rush is in the middle of another attack from his left-wing fan club. They really ought to actually listen to his show. But they might be afraid to. Too much common sense and entertainment. It's dangerous stuff for the types who cater in this nonsense.

Anyway, Limbaugh had laid out the facts effectively in his own defense at the top of his show today.

is 62 and this man "Bill" is like 73. He is total opposite of my dad, and he does stupid b.s. to my Mom like if he thinks she takes too long visiting with her family while he is home, he will call up another lady friend and take her to dinner. Anyway, this type of treatment is new to my Mother because my Dad never acted so stupid. The newest thing was yesterday. She called me and said she wanted the picture back of my Dad that I had taken of him up in the mountains in Montana on vacation and had frammed for her after he died, which she gave back to me after she moved in with Bill. I ask her was she putting it up at Bill's house and the way she answered "yep!" I knew it was a revenge move. I said why, does Bill have a picture up of his wife? She said 'yep!" and I told her no, that I wasn't going to allow her to use my Dad's picture for some stupid little immature jealousy game over two people that have died! Then I hung up. Was I right or wrong. Please be honest.

i am a single mum with 2 cats and a dog i get plagued with fleas ever year and im finding it costly using frontline and carpet sprays not only that the last course of frontline i had didn't work and im at my wits end! my sons gettin bitten every night and so am i, i boil wash all the bedding and hoover every day and empty hoover bags, only to find there still on the animals, my vet said it doesn't matter how well i treat the house they can pick them up from outside, any ideas?

My cat is sick (vet thinks cancer or non-effusive FIP) and I know what it entails for him but we're hoping for the best. Anyways what can I do right now to help him with his dry paws so he doesn't slip and slide while walking on hard surfaces? Can I dab diluted olive or vegetable oil on them?

And any other advice, comments, etc... is appreciated.
