OK, what would you do?

I ordered a monitor from one of the very large electronics firms. It arrived, and sat around my place for a month unopened. I finally opened it, and to my surprise I found the invoice for the monitor, but the enclosed item was a new laptop worth four times as much. I checked my CC company and the merchant. The charge is for the lower priced monitor; no record of the laptop anywhere. Would you return the item as a sign of good faith and indicate the error, or keep the higher priced item, and say 'serves them right. Now I have to go order another monitor.' Besides no one will ever find out. Perhaps another consumer ended up with the reverse situation. But I'm figuring they already reported it and got THEIR money back.

Footnote: Would your finances (i.e., you make $25,000 a year versus $150,000 a year) make a difference in your decision?

Hi,

I went for an audition for a play, and I did not get the role(s) that I wanted, but the director offered me an understudy position for one of the roles.

Does an understudy get paid? And what's the average pay for an understudy at a fairly successful dinner theater?

Thank you!

Is it not just the fact that as we get older our brain becomes jam packed with stuff over the years, and there is no room for new stuff, hence memory loss. What we really need in our brain today is a delete mechanism to get rid of the stuff that is cloging up our minds. It strikes me that evolution is at a standstill.

so according to string theory and m-theory there is an infinite number of universe each with different laws of physics. and that every single outcome of anything is in one of the infinite many universes. so doesn't that mean that in at least a few universes string theory is wrong. so doesn't that prove the whole thing?

Sometimes I cannot help but wonder. If King Kong had been waiting on top of the Trade Towers on that fateful day before the planes came, would that have made a difference? Could he have stopped the planes?

Its a horror movie of short vignettes. There are 4 men (or 5) who ride down in an elevator and sit at a table. They all start to recount nightmares they had the previous night. All the nightmares depict their deaths. In the end it turns out they are all actually dead and their hell is reliving their deaths daily. Heres what I remember of each of their stories (not in order):

1) One of them is about an abusive husband. He screams at his wife and beats her when things are not organized and in place. She kills him with a hammer and organizes his "parts" into different jars.
2) One of them is about a snake charmer, but I don't remember what happens.
3) One of them is about a painter. He gets a magical brush, and any still life he paints becomes actually affected by what happens to the painting. For example he paints a vase, the painting falls, so the actual vase falls and breaks. He paints himself and spends the rest of the time trying to keep the painting safe.
Thanks in advance!

This is a question my daughter asked. She doesn't like Mr. Bush, nor do I. I have my own theories, but I thought that in the spirit of fairness, those who DO support our President should answer the question.

So please give me your reasons and if you could, do so without anger or bitterness. A 12 year old will be reading your answers.

Thanks!
