Sometimes I cannot help but wonder. If King Kong had been waiting on top of the Trade Towers on that fateful day before the planes came, would that have made a difference? Could he have stopped the planes?

Ha. Well considering he was taken down by smaller planes i guess the answer is no. Besides he liked the top of the buildings and the planes crashed a little bit lower and do you know how much the insurance company would have to pay for an accident with a movie star of that size. Ha!

As the trade center was built in the mid 60's King Kong would have been up against jets withe rockets and machinguns so No. The plaves would have cut him to shreds in no time at all and possibly napalmed him as well. I also think they did just that in the Jef Bridges Cheryll Lange verson of the movie minus the napalm.
