A car can not even be sold unless it has gone through incredibly expensive federal crash testing, third party crash testing, and its own corporate crash testing. It must be equipped with airbags, seatbelts, and specific and expensive designs in the sheet metal and frame.
A motor cycle does not even cover the body of the occupant, it would fail any crash test (obviously) and has no seatbelts, airbags, sheet metal.
Not to mention they are noisy and sound like a flatulating farm animal, much like the riders of them. But that's besides the point.
Why are they allowed on the road?
