Because, it was, and still might be, evidence in the trials of Mohamed al Kahtani, the 9/11 hijacker who was refused entry into the United States. And other potential 9/11 co-conspirators.
If this was a conspiracy, wouldn't it make more sense to just destory the debris, instead of keeping it around for future generations to see? Hmm?

Because George Bush never got a chance to get his zippo nuc super duper mr. rule the world inviso ray bomb ignitor out of the cockpit ash tray you dolt.
You want people to know he was flying the planes that day? And that he only got out just in the nick of time, but forgot his underdog pajamas on United 93 before he parachuted into a dixie cup on the back of a lama herder's sheep duck in a field on the moon. (you dont belive that actually happend in PA do you? Come on, can't you see the shadow that's upside down beside the spider monkey in the wetsuit? Everyone know you can't scuba dive in PA, why would a monkey need a wetsuit there?)
And if they found his zippo, they might find the letter from Dick Cheney to the Klingons telling them to invade Georgia to get all the Pecans they want. (you do know that's the fuel for klingon battle cruisers right? It's always about fuel with Cheney and Haliburton ya know. Them dorks are so bad)
Why'd you think?
DOH!
I overlooked this before, but I realize now it could be because the thing flew into the Pentagon, and there could be secret stuff among the wreckage there was no need to sort through painstakingly to figure out why it crashed...naw.
It's the zippo.

It appears to be a secret. No one on Yahoo knows and if they did, they couldn't tell you. Eventually the facts of it will come out. Maybe they don't want to know in congress. Maybe everybody really doesn't want to know.

They were picking up pieces from the lawn. I doubt there is anything top secret about that plane and I doubt congress is denied access. Unless an actual link from like CNN, congress.gov, or the like is given, this goes into the internet theory file and therefore false.

You're right, it has been 6 years. Isn't that long enough to lay all these conspiracies to rest? Nobody could keep a conspiracy this huge a secret for this long. Give it up.

Why was much of the debris from the World Trade Center's twin towers so hastily used to build a new U.S. battleship? Why was all that wreckage not stored somewhere for future investigation, further examination and in-depth analysis?
The events surrounding 9-11 are mysterious, even sinister. As patriotic citizens of the United States, we have a Constitutional right - and obligation - to hold our government's feet to the fire, question our government's motives, and doubt our government's word, especially when you consider how many times we've been lied to before:
* Speculation still abounds that FDR knew about Pearl Harbor in advance, but chose to allow U.S. soldiers to die so that we would have a legitimate excuse to involve ourselves in World War II;
* The government has never satisfactorily explained the events surrounding UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, especially to those who lived there and witnessed it;
* The Warren Commission sanitized its version of the JFK assassination, then sealed the documents for 75 years - until 2038 - by which time most of us who witnessed that tragedy will be dead and gone;
* The government lied about U-2 spy planes flying over the U.S.S.R. until Khrushchev shot one down and displayed it for the world to see;
* The government lied about U.S. battleships being attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin, which led us directly into the Vietnam War;
* The military lied about the effects of Agent Orange on Vietnam veterans;
* The White House lied about a third-rate burglary at the Watergate Hotel until two young reporters dug out the truth and forced the resignation of a U.S. President;
* The government lied about 'weapons of mass destruction' which led us directly into a 'war' against another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States;
* The government lied about torture and sexual abuse of 'detainees' until a whistle blower posted photos on the Internet.
We "the people" have a right to the truth from our government. Thomas Jefferson once said: "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive, it is the right of the people to abolish it." We have that right...and that duty. To blithely believe everything our government tells us is to allow ourselves to be put under the rule of a totalitarian government. -RKO- 09/18/07

It's a conspiracy theory!
(I am trained to think that because I am a brainwashed drone who can't think and deduce for myself, it's just easier to not ask questions and accept the explanations of and submit to all those in authority....baaaaaaaaaaa!)
