The name I was taught for the War in school was "American Civil War." Nowadays, I reject that title because it was not a civil war: the south did not want to take over the US government, it wanted to be free, and I call it the "War Between the States." My wife, a Virginian by birth and a Texan by loyalty, calls it the "War of Yankee Aggression."

I'm just curious as to what other names (if any) are in current usage and how many people use the primary names (Civil War, War Between the States, War of Yankee Aggression) these days.

We've debated this a long time. After countless turn downs from my DBF this is what we have on our list:

Hunter Wayne Roberts
Remington Wayne Roberts
Coby Wayne Roberts
Brady Wayne Roberts
Mark Wayne Roberts
Kacey Wayne Roberts

Lawrence Wayne Roberts (his fathers first name, and my fathers first name) - although I dont like "Larry" for short

Garrett Wayne
Derek Wayne
Stanley Wayne (after my grandfather)
Rhett Wayne
Travis Wayne

Which do you like best? Which sounds best?

Thanks to all replies...
-T
BTW we picked a girl's name already:
Amy Lena Roberts

I just had a baby three weeks ago by the way and I feel really fat and ugly right now and he told me to go for a walk then. Am i crazy or is this the most unsupportive thing ever

Bear in mind, 'Best Of' and 'Greatest Hits' are two totally different things. 'Best Of' allows for more flexibility (i.e., deeper album cuts, live fan favorites, etc). 'Greatest Hits' means pretty much just that -- radio hits.

Also, don't forget to name the artist you're doing. Try to limit the playlist to no more than 15 songs. This is just to try and have some fun and be creative on a Friday.

I want a name that is popular, or I want a nickname of a popular and cute name. A GIRLS NAME. I want it to be a name that describes a cute blonde 13 year old with short hair, and is adventurous. Imagine her like the girl Leslie from Bridge to Terabithia.

I have learned from a Black woman that a white woman who calls herself one of Jehovah's Witnesses told the Black woman "You're no longer a witness", because the Black woman was being persecuted racially in the bigoted town that she lives in. The woman has been trying to get out of that town for a long while now but continues to be persecuted by the bad people in that community.

The so-called witness also told the Black witness "No! There is no time for you to move and relocate; not you! You must stay there and go back to the kingdom hall that has committed racism also!"

Many people relocate and move monthly, if not weekly or daily from many cities and states across the country, relocating to other states, so why is it not ok for the Black woman to get a fairwell and relocate, but many others do it every day??

The so-called witness also told the woman that there was a fund for single mothers and children in the society. When she called the society, she was told there is none.

should get in and thus, Edgar (Gar) Martinez should pave the way and become the first main DH to be elected into the HOF when he becomes eligible in 2010. Sure, Paul Molitor is in and he played some DH and so did a few other players who are in, but after the first 4 or 5 years of his career, Edgar became the most dominant DH in history for the final 13 years of his career. He played his entire career with the Seattle Mariners from 1987-2004, and his career numbers were: 2,055 Games, 7,213 At Bats, 1,219 Runs, 2,247 Hits, 514 Doubles, 15 Triples, 309 HR's, 1,261 RBI's, 1,283 Walks, 1,202 Strikeouts, .312 Batting Average, .418 On Base % and .515 Slugging %. Wow, awesome numbers. Edgar was an all-star 7 times, Silver Slugger Award winner for the AL 5 times, American League Batting Champion 2 times in '92 and '95, and many other statisical category leaders.
