Both of my parents married 3 times. Each of them stayed married the 3rd time for good.
My dad was married 8 years to both of his first wives, but he was always traveling for work (and finding other ways to stay busy, than just work) He was married to his 3rd wife for 19 years when he passed away. They were still happily married.
My mom was married 3 years the first time and 8 the second. She has been with my step dad for 20 years and counting now. Still happy too.
Sometimes it takes a few tries before you find the right one.

Well I am working on my 3rd, but hasn't come to the wedding day yet, but I think that my feelings are worn out from past marriages so I just am not that excited any more about it, I do love him and we are best friends but I could take it or leave it.
I think it depends on your relationship and if your friends or not. I have a great time with my fiance but just no big deal anymore I guess, been there done it , ya know?

I think it can without a doubt. I think it's finding the right person. Three is only a number. It's about being with someone who you love and trust. Who you enjoy being with. And most importantly what makes you happy.
My mom and step dad are both each other's number 3. And they have been married since May of 1999. They are both very happy.
So don't let the number bother you. If it feels right and makes you happy, Go for it. I wish you happiness and good luck

I belive it can for the right people, and I wish them well.
However, I don't think yours will as you are asking the question to a bunch of complete strangers because you aren't sure yourself.
For some reason you think a bunch of strangers know more about the likelihood of success for your marriage than you do - it's about time you learnt to take control of your own destiny.
If you aren't sure you shouldn't get married for the 3rd time.

it will only work if you stop looking at it as an 'attempt' and begin to see it as a 'commitment'. are you just playing house or are you in it for the long haul? are you willing to work out the problems that WILL come up or are you just going to bail when the first ill wind begins to blow????
