He is going to tell us that we need to form a permanent security pact with the Iraqis. Right now we are building, in Baghdad, the largest embassy that we have ever built. Before Bush leaves office, he will have put into motion plans and commitments that may be almost impossible for the next President to change. At least it seems to be shaping up that way. Whether you are a liberal or a conservative, does the fact that we will obviously remain in Iraq as an occupying force change your opinion about what we are doing in Iraq? How do you think the Middle East as a whole is going to react to this? What does this mean for the next President, no matter which party they hail from?

I think now days most people who say they hate "emo" are just doing it to fit in. Why do people treat "emo" kids so badly? You can't think you're that much better than other people can you?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - An ad criticizing the top U.S. general in Iraq raised charges on Thursday that The New York Times slashed its advertising rates for political reasons -- an accusation denied by the paper.

The ad by liberal anti-war group moveon.org ran on Monday, the day of Gen. David Petraeus's testimony to Congress about the war and how long U.S. forces will stay in Iraq.

Moveon.org confirmed it paid $65,000 for the full page ad headlined "General Petraeus or General Betray Us."

i'm looking for a recipe to make beef stew exactly like dinty moore's. my web searches have uncovered lots of recipes that are "better than dinty moore", "beats dinty moore into the ground", etc. but none that are the SAME as dinty moore (or as close to it as possible). can anyone help? oh, and in case you're wondering why, it's because dinty moore beef stew is major comfort food for me and brings back lots of fond memories of my childhood but it is so darned expensive in the grocery stores. other beef stews may be delicious and probably even tastier but i still just want regular ol' dinty moore ;-)

Just watched a horrible report on BBC News showing tiny children starving to death and dying through lack of medical care in Zimbabwe. Their fathers being beaten by soldiers when they queue for bread to try and feed them.

Why the hell lis this allowed to happen and when are the US and UK going to oust this tyrant Mugabe the same way they ousted Saddam Hussein?

God created Lucifer, am I right? Or didn't He?

Lucifer fell and became Satan, the Father of Lies. Satan wants us to be as he is, unhappy, fallen, sinful, EVIL.

If God was so adamant that Adam and Eve not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then why did He not do something to prevent it?

If Jesus Christ was always intended to be our Saviour, then God must have wanted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit, otherwise, Jesus would have been totally unnecessary.

separated men or divorced men with kids get upset when he is forced to or chooses to pay support to his children? What do you expect? Do you expect his ex wife to suddenly decide that because he now has more kids he does not have to be financially responsible for his first family? Try putting yourself in the ex wife's shoes and see how you would feel.

We are preparing for a major competition and came across with cos 2 and cos 2^0. What is the difference in the graph of the two? Even if we write as cos 2x and cos 2^0x, we still can't see the difference between the two.

This question really got me confused and I don't think it has got to do with the double angle.

Thanks in advance.....

It is a base to question and to ponder live. It is to better understand ourselves, our world, and our place in it.
The word "philosophy" means a lot of things to a lot of people and when I tell people I studied or will study Philosophy, it sometimes invites them to tell me about "their philosophies" (anyone that has one worth listening to, will not just offer it up. It's not a matter of secrecy, just a matter of the fact that it will take a fairly long and demanding discussion to define and explain it in a way that would do it justice.)or to ask me about mine. In this sense, one's philosophy is one's fundamental intellectual viewpoint on life - what hopefully puts it in the familiar context of intellectual knowledge. http://www.unnu.com/newhome/attractions/philosophy/whatisphilosophy.html
I think that a lot of people on here have lost the meaning what it is and the freedom of thought that it provides.
I have seen too have subjective opinions on questions asked here. Your View ??
