We are preparing for a major competition and came across with cos 2 and cos 2^0. What is the difference in the graph of the two? Even if we write as cos 2x and cos 2^0x, we still can't see the difference between the two.

This question really got me confused and I don't think it has got to do with the double angle.

Thanks in advance.....

Well, the way you put it, supposing radians, then cos(2) =~ -0.416146837 and cs(2^0) = cos(1) =~ -0.540302306
. The difference between then is cos(2) - cos(1) ~= 0.124155469
