Would you be happy if a student gave you a handmade gift — something that is original or something that is not handmade but with quality? Would you be happy if I gave you something handmade? I'm just curious because I don't know what teachers like.

I have a beta male and I am not very experienced with them. That is why I went to the petstore and asked them if I need to have a female with it so he won't be alone...so the petstore told me its totally fine...there I have a female beta now!!
I am shocked to see the male chase the female like he is going to kill her. I seperated him to a container...please can someone advice me what to do...I don't really want to take neither of them back...can they live together in one tank?

i know that its impossible for us to see black holes right now because light, at its high speed, cant escape them.

but! if you do some research you can see that scientists have been able to speed up a beam of light several times faster than 186,000 miles a second. couldnt we use this to view a black hole? shine a beam of accelerated light towards a black hole and hope its strong enough to escape its gravity and give us a clear view of the black hole.

I am 25 currently living with parents and attending college full time and working full time. Currently I am paying tuition and books straight out of my pocket somehow miraculously. Plus I have a car payment.

The problem is that I'm tired of living with my parents and want my own place, but afraid I cannot afford it. I am also starting to have problems getting along with my dad. Is there any way I can afford college and an apartment?

What are some key/essential books one should read in order to get the basic ideas behind and surrounding Buddhism? Any book suggestions would actually be welcomed, but more preference would be toward "beginner" books. Nothing like Buddhism for Dummies though.

I am 44 and going through the change of life. Right now I am right in the middle of PMS and Menopause. The doctor told me I would have headaches but they are really bad ones. I do cold packs and I take Advil for the pain. But mine last at least 4 days or more. Is this normal for headaches to last this long when going through Menopause?

Please be gentle with your answers. I am very serious and I am hurting a lot. This months period was the worst. I felt so abnormal. I was not myself at all. I felt really off balanced.

I will be a 3rd year undergraduate student at UCSC. I really want to transfer out of this college (to UCD, UCSD, UCLA, or Cal), but I am afraid that the chances of getting in are unlikely. I have asked several people about this situation and most of them think that I should try for it. Or, should I finish strong with the rest of these 2 years? Some of my friends who transferred out think that it is best to apply for transfer to a better UC and make that transfer if I get accepted. I want to start writing my essays, so please answer! Thank you!

I need Help and asked my family in a way I thought might be quite and would not put them on the spot with a face to face. I e-mailed them all. I'm disabled. I gave them a list of things I use alot and told them I'd appreciate any one thing as help from them (like paper towels, etc....).I told them I did not expect . . . but asked/let them know . . . and left it up to them. I told them I was sorry to ask, but I needed help. Was it wrong for me to ask. I thought this would be a quite way to let them know I needed help. Was it?
