I am not a homophobe. I have no problem with men or women being homosexual. It just seems that gay men are always acting like a bunch of junior high kids. They're always talking about how cute this guy is or who they like but he likes someone else who likes someone else. And why do they have to wear so many rainbow bands or slogan shirts with gay innuendo. I recently saw a shirt that said "looking for a few good men" and had a marine on the front. Does anyone else find gay men in their 20's and 30's immature. To me relationships are sacred and it just seems alot of homosexual men acts as though it is a sport.

On this site I have seen theists state "Science explains the 'how' and (my) religion explains the 'why'" (I added the 'my' but it is implicit in the answer). But does it really? Because I don't really think a little hand-waving and saying "well, God wanted/did it" is much of an answer. Especially given that there are many other religions making the exact same claim.

Is religion often more of an excuse to avoid or stop thinking about the hard questions?

I have tried talking to the school about it. Letting her receive natural consequences for being late. Having her loose a dollar from her earned allowance each time she is late. Changing her bed time; taking the amount of minutes she is late and having her go to bed that many minutes earlier. Another hypothesis of mine...because I have done a nonscientific poll...and have found that people tell me they fell in love rather quickly....even though they would endorse a slower safer approach...how about you....was it quick...like a fall... or did you sensibly meander down love's tender halls until you both slowly embraced the prize.......
