It seems to me Atheists and Fundamentalists have a lot in common. Just exchange science for God...both tend to stridency, condemnation and ridicule...

I have been exhausted this week and extremely irritable. My breasts have been sore for a couple of days and I thought it was just pms but this morning I noticed I was lactating. I haven't breastfed for at least a year but even when I was pregnant the last time I didn't begin lactating until after my son was born. Could this mean that I'm pregnant? My husband and I have been trying for almost a year with no success and we just recently decided not to worry so much about ovulation schedules and take a more relaxed approach. Plus if I am pregnant I would only be 2 weeks along!
Is this just wishful thinking?

The resolution—sponsored by Republican Reps. Virgil Goode Jr. of Virginia, Tom Tancredo of Colorado, Walter Jones of North Carolina, and Ron Paul of Texas—expresses "the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union (NAU) with Mexico or Canada."

Do you think anti smoking ads exagerrate?? I mean all these documentaries, films, ads and stuff about how smoking cigarettes gives you cancer, strokes, heart disease etc.. Do you believe everyone who smokes will end up having one of these problems? What's the rate of people who will be seriously affected by cigarette smoking ?? I'm asking this because I see so many smokers out there and I'm wondering if all of them will die of cancer or smoking-related illnesses
I just quit smoking yesterday (I've been smoking about a pack, for about 3 years)

I am planning on staying all winter in a town called Ayr in Scotland and dont really want to have to pay the outrageous prices that the local B&B's and other "budget" places charge while i try and find a place to stay.

Does anyone have any tips from previous experiences , perhaps, on ways to find a cheap place to stay before coming to the UK??

I am looking at around 250 pounds per month. and again, I am looking at what is called a "bedsit" or a small room to rent .

thanks for your help!!

Its a fact its happening and if things dont change 1/3 of the world land is going to be flooded within 100 years killing billions of people.

Who thinks the only way to get round this is to just build thousands of windfarms and other natural sources to get energy. For example a 10 by 10 metre solar panel on a 12 hour sunny day saves 2 tonnes of carbon!!!!!! f@#>?(. We have the resources to do it.

Before long the only animals left will be dogs and cats.

Who agrees or disagrees with me?? Plus don't moan about visual pollution because before you know that place will be flooded.

I've seen too many atheists come onto this site and bash religion, and yet no one says a thing to them. However, show any sort of religious belief and you are ostracized. Religious people are often accused of being "closed-minded" (a term which I do not believe has a valid definition) and yet couldn't we equally say atheists are "closed-minded" because they can't accept that some people have religious beliefs? We already know you all atheists don't believe in God, so what point do you non-believers have in coming on here and constantly bashing us believers with any chance you can get? Stop being so "closed-minded" and accept that we believe in God. And stop trying to pursue legal channels in an attempt to make it where we can't even say the word "God" anymore in public you un-American non-freedom of speech believers.

I'm 13. I have many of the symptoms. It takes me forever to fall asleep at night. I usually don't wake up in the middle of the night, but when I do, I can't go back to sleep. I fidget constantly. I have lost interest in many of my favorite activities. I hate being around my family and participating in family activities. I have trouble concentrating in class. I feel horrible all of the time. It's not like normal sadness, and I can't seem to understand what's causing it. If I am depressed, shouldI get help? Based on the information given if I do have depression, how would you rate it on a scale of 1-10? I've never felt like this before. If not depression, what is it?

The Quran, The Bible, Jewish teachings all speak of Jesus. They speak of him in different ways, but still speak of Jesus nonetheless. I know that I haven't mentioned every religion (or book) that refers to Jesus in its history in some fashion, but with all the differences between these religions, wouldn't it be safe to say that Jesus did exist in some way shape or form? It seems like that is the only thing most religions agree on.

I always here conservative propaganda that the surge is working and liberals hate that. I was wondering just what is the surge supposed to do? I thought it's main purpose was to stabilize that region, but that's not happening, innocent people are dying every day. Is the surge just supposed to make a short term impact on Iraq? Obviously more soldiers means less violence, but to me the real mark on whether the surge works or not is what the long term effects will be, When the surge ends, as we know it must, will the violence increase again? If so, would you consider the surge a success? and if you do, would you support instituting the draft to really make things ok In Iraq, image what a surge of 1 million US troops could do.
