i always think about this question, especially since over the past 10-15 years movie studios have decided to release a sequals rather than take a chance on an original story. There will always be an "independant" movement, but is there a chance that in the future originality will be dead?

For instance, if the Bible says a big country will invade a small country in the middle east, the first time a big country invades a small country there, you can claim the prophesy came true. But in truth, neither country was named in the prophesy, and noone will ever know which two countries were being referred to.
I think any reasonable man/woman will conclude that prophesies were predicting events that were expected to happen within the next 1 to 100 years. If they happened, they happened thousands of years ago, and they have no applicability to today. Even Jesus predicted events like his second coming that would happen within the lifetime of the people he was talking to. Maybe it happened and went unnoticed, but it certainly won't happen nowadays, unless Jesus was lying or mistaken.
I am sure someone will disagree with me, but that's what the Bible says; and the person disagreeing with me will probably be a person who claims the Bible is true. Unsound??

The air conditioner in my car is not cooling, yes on the first day of spring my airconditioner decides to **** itself. So anyway I was told by the mechanic when I got a new compressor put in in 2005 that I wouldn't need to re-gas my a/c again.

Does that sound right, or have I misunderstood what was said to me?

Or could it be something more sinister?

Hello. This problem is for homework and it's not graded for correctness, but I don't know how to solve it and it's quite bugging me. I've even asked my math tutor and she wasn't sure either... T__T
This is a problem from Calculus AB, in the chapter titled "Logarithmic, Exponential, and Other Transcendental Functions"

Here is the problem:
Air pressure~
Under ideal conditions, air pressure decreases continuously wiht height above sea level at a rate proportional to the pressure at that height. If the barometer reads 30 inches at sea level and 15 inches at 18,000 feet, find the barometric pressure at 35, 000 feet.

*I tried using proportions...but that wasn't the right answer. According to the book, the correct answer is "about 7.79 inches"

OK, I'm going to ask this.

I am always nervous when I have to present or say something in front of a group of people.Or when, for some reason, all eyes are on me. I get very nervous and my heart pounds and my face gets red. I feel like I'm going to faint or collapse. This happens mostly at school.On the first day of school we were suppossed to right 3 things we are good at and 3 things we need to work on. For the second question, I put Be better at talking in front of a group of people. Big Mistake. My teacher has been calling on me to answer everything! He thinks I don't notice but I know he is doing this to "Boost my confidence" The thing is, I have NO problem answering things from my desk when I can't see everyone looking at me. How can I stop him from having me answer EVERYTHING?

Also, we have been memorizing poems that we present to the class once we've memorized them. We did our first poem last week. I knew the whole poem perfectly. And even if i didn't, 12 people said it before me, giving me plenty of time to know it. However when I got up front, I got really nervous and my hands started sweating and I said the poem OK, not great, but it was a very short poem, Now, how can I be less nervous when presenting???? PLEASE HELP!!!

I have 2 grown sons, 21 and 28. I need to know if I am the only one that feels this way, or if I am wrong in my thinking. My "baby" the 21 yr old, "hangs around" with a mexican girl 23, WHO HAS 3 KIDS already, and is divorced. I make no qualms about saying what's on my mind, and that is that I DON'T want him getting involved with her! He makes good money, and the LAST thing I want for him is to tie himself down to her and her kids, and having to hand her money to support someone elses mistakes. What do you think?

In July, I was a victim of an aggravated sexual assault, but have since dropped the charges (I simply cannot speak of it, if the subject even comes up I go mute ... the only place I've even brought it up is here). My husband is now saying that I must've slept with the guy on pupose, nevermind the horrible bruises and egg on the head from being hit with a gun.

He's saying my choices are to restart the case or get out of the house, and since everything is in his name, the law will help him. I have nowhere to go, and I won't leave my little girls. I can't get help from counseling, I've tried numerous times but no one will help me. Will the law indeed back him up on this?
