My computer is running slowly and it is coming up saying my computer is not optimized. What would that statement mean? It also says a movie is still running making my computer slow. I don't know what all this means. Can anyone help me out?

For some reason, I am pretty sure you have spyware on your machine. I will suggest you to get something to remove (SpyBot comes to mind). Free tools are good to some point, but other things like SpySweeper are much better. You are just seeing an advertisement on your machine, pay no mind to it and get some anti-spyware software.

Tron has it right. "Your computer is not optimized" and variations of this are common come-ons that spammers and spy-ware use to get you to click on their ads (they get money every time somebody clicks their ads) or buy their questionable products. Invest in a good anti-spyware program. Spybot is good, as is Spy Sweeper and Ad-Aware. Do frequent scans (once a week is good) and keep the program(s) updated and you'll find these popups will go away. Don't click any ads that use these phrases. And make sure you have a good anti-virus program installed and keep it updated. A firewall is also a good investment. I personally use and am very satisfied with Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite (it has all three--firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware).

If it is a pop up that is telling you this, then the otehr advice is dead on the money, you are most likely hit with malware. There are a few free ones out there, AdAware and the likes, download one, and run it.

Be cautious of the sites you go to, and what you download or you'll be right here again, asking the same question...:)
