Oh, honey I feel for you in this situation. Is there anyone that you feel comfortable in your family with that is willing to tell you about your Dad. I'm sure that you will get some good suggestions as to how you can find out more info about him from other people. I just wanted to let you know that what you're feeling is normal, and I think it takes a special, smart, and brave person to do what you're doing.
Good Luck!

Enlist your mom's help. Ask her to help you get in touch with someone in your father's family. Do you not communicate with any of them? Is your grandmother (his mom) still alive? She would be the obvious one to talk to. If not, did your dad have any brothers or sisters?

I guess you are leaving out too many details. Give us more and hopefully someone can steer you in the right direction.

If his mom is still alive, that would be a good place to start. If not, ask about brothers, sister, etc. that you might be able to call or to write and ask some questions.

Get names and or numbers of your father's family from your Mom and call them. I'm sure they would love to hear from you. Ask them to tell you everything they would like to share.

A name would help.
