My sister is a nurse working in the emergancy room. She talks about drug addicts that will come in regularly without a penny demanding drugs or "medication" for their "pains" that could easily be illegitamate, things like-they have trouble breathing. The doctors cannot refuse them by law.
The worst is, they are so demanding and they get all this stuff for minor, and in some cases, easily non-existent problems, and they don't even pay for it. She gets people that have made themselves, who live in the streets when they coould get a job if they wanted, or people who could lose major weight by just eating more healthy and less, but instead, they rely on the hospitals to clean them up,give them a bed, food and money.
We are spending so much money on these lazy people/drug addicts, that there is little left for good honest people who bought insurance for legitamate reasons, but who are not getting the care they deserve.
Why is this the way it is?

I graduated a year ago with a degree in biology (b.s.). I have been trying to find a job ever since. I live in cleveland, oh and the problem I keep running into is that every job is a sales job. I AM NOT A SALESPERSON!!! I am very smart and a job that does not utilize this will be short lived. I need something that allows me to make decisions and does not involve selling. Going back to school is not an option as I need money and WILL NOT move home to live with my parents. So unless it is something that allows me to go to school part time while working full time, it is not an option. I am very open minded, all I really need is decent pay, bennefits, and the ability to think for myself so I dont get bored and quit.

Im 25 years old and Caucasion. My husband is 27 and Latino. Are there more risks with having a baby if it is interracial?
Also how can I prepare for pregnancy? I am so scared that I am not oging ot have a healthy child. I used to work in the health cre field and you see so much wrong. I just want to do everything possible to help have a healthy child and a healthy pregnancy. Any tips or advice? We plan to start trying maybe this December. Thanks! I think so because even though he did something horrible, everybody in America gets a 2nd chance, why not Vick? I'm not saying what he did is right(IT'S HORRIBLE!)and in no means do I support dog-fighting, however Vick should serve his time in jail, and then the NFL should let him keep playing. I'm not meaning to offend anybody who thinks Vick should be kicked out of the NFL, but this is just my personal opinion. Also, race has nothing to do with this so can we please stop playing the race card?

So, do you think Vick deserves a 2nd chance?

My daughter has just upgraded her Desktop Windows XP with 1gb ram, had a router connected but uses a new laptop with Vista o/s in a different part of the house thats fine, but she cant connect to MSN on the desktop. The Computer Technician that installed it for her seems to think its her AVG free & Comodo Firewall is the problem. He`s taken the Tower away saying he will put on a Security prog , but she will have to pay for it. Is this the possible answer do you think. Thankyou

Okay I have a few questions I can't find answers to for myself..

1. How many people are in prison/ jail today in the US?
2. What is the cost annually to house prisoners/ jailbirds?
3. Along the same line, how much tax dollars do we spend on
a. Jail/ Prison, b. Probation, c. Parole? Based on I guess this year?
