Ha yes I do turnip. I had some come up last year and I have no idea where they came from. I had to call a garden friend to look at them didn't even know what they were.

Turnips and rutabagas only look alike.
Rutabagas are where it's at taste,texture and versatility.
I eat lots for pleasure yea!!

I hate anything resembling, in the family, or anything that is even closely related to a turnip.

No i love them and we make a northern michigan dish called pasties with them and it is rutabega cut up into small dices, potoatoes cut up in small dices, onion chopped up fine, meat like pot roast cut up fine un cooked, and pie dough. make a 8 in round pie dough and place 1/2 cup of each in the pie dough dot with margarine and salt and pepper and fold over to make a calazone type pie and cook in a 350 degree oven for 45-60 mins till done and let set for 15 mins, and serve... it is delicious and i bought all the fixins today and will make it in a couple of days and freeze some for later on in the month..,.

They are not my favorite vegetable. My mother used to add some to mashed potatoes for some added flavor. I certainly wouldn't spend my hard earned money on them! But, if someone gave me some, I'd eat them.
