Okay I have a few questions I can't find answers to for myself..

1. How many people are in prison/ jail today in the US?
2. What is the cost annually to house prisoners/ jailbirds?
3. Along the same line, how much tax dollars do we spend on
a. Jail/ Prison, b. Probation, c. Parole? Based on I guess this year?

Thank you to anyone willing to help me answer these strange questions I have = ] .
