Since your mom is allergic to cats and doesn't want a cat, then you have to respect her decision. You wouldn't want your mom to suffer with her allergy, right? I know of a lot of people who want a cat who can't have one because of being allergic to cats. But at least you can look forward to having a cat some day when you are living on your own. Because you love cats, how about if you volunteer some time at an animal shelter or even offer to care for your friends' or neighbors' cats when they go away on vacation? There are ways in which you can work it out so that you can be around cats, even if you can't have one in your home for now.

Maybe you could volunteer at a cat shelter or vet's office. Like the others have said, your mom's health comes first.
When I was young and living at home, I wanted a dog but because my parents didn't want an animal living in the house, I had to wait until I was on my own. You'll just have to be patient for now.

Maybe you can suggest that your mom should take an allergy pill. Or maybe you can do all the work for the cat and your mom won't have to touch the cat or be around it. Good luck and I hope you get your cat
PS: Act responsible and explain to your mom why you want a cat so much.

Your mother can see a doctor for advice on anti-histamines, which is a type of medication that suppresses allergies (or allergic symptoms). They are relatively inexpensive meds and she only needs to take one daily (if she's planning on taking them long-term).
However, the final say on whether or not you can have the kitten should be your mother's, coz you do live in her house and therefore, out of respect, should abide by her rules.
Good luck!

You can't replace your Mom. So either you move out or wait till your old enough to have your own place. Some allergic reactions can be bad enough to cause serious respiratory problems. Lack of oxygen can lead to lack of life. There will be more kittens in the future...guaranteed.

ME,Me ,Me Grow up little girl and wait till you get your own place and then you can have all the cats you want. Is your mom supposed to suffer because her spoiled little girl is so selfish?

I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that ragdoll cats are hypoallergenic. These cats are expensive.

Try to sell your mom on ebay first, then you can get the kitten.
Good Luck!
