I know that a person's "shooting" situation determines the camera and lens combo needed. The problem is that I really can't afford a lot of equipment right now but do want to good quality photos.

The situation I am most concerned with is taking photographs during wilderness camping trips. These will be backpacking trips of several days at a time. Light levels will vary from low ligt in heavy dense woodlands to bright sunshine without a speck of shade to be found.

I had a Panasonic DMC-FZ20 for a couple of years and now kick myself for getting rid of it. http://howto.netmorale.com/viewtopic.php?t=303

Looking on ebay and reading literally hundreds of reviews have left me pretty confused to say the least.

Do you have a favorite point and shoot or DSLR that is under $600??

"Contrary to the misinformation of anti-Witnesses, it is quite possible to become inactive in the JW religion without becoming disfellowshipped. As long as one's lifestyle does not bring reproach upon the congregation, and as long as one does not advocate one's disagreements with the religion, the congregation has no interest in "investigating", exposing, and disfellowshipping an inactive former Jehovah's Witness.

This is directly out of the Watchtower!

Note: "as long as one does not advocate ones disagreements with the religion"

Question: How scary is it to be in a position to lose all of your family and friends and support group, because you disagree with a corporation that tells you what you are supposed to think and believe?

do you see why the Governing body of the Watchtower bible and Tract society keeps you in Spiritual Captivity, and why it is so dangerous? YOU can't even QUESTION THEM!

Would you file charges?
I have reason to suspect that my EX hubby has used my children's information to attain credit. We are still on good terms dispite the divorce..etc. I haven't confronted him about this yet. I won't put up w/ this though. I just don't think that anyone else would have their information. And the ones who would have it would never damage their future like that. So, my question to you is...

Would you file charges against your EX if you were in this situation?

Should I just go straight to the police and file a report (as if I didn't suspect him)? Or, should I ask him about it first?

SURVEY: LESS THAN HALF OF ALL PUBLISHED SCIENTISTS ENDORSE GLOBAL WARMING THEORY; COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY OF PUBLISHED CLIMATE RESEARCH REVEALS CHANGING VIEWPOINTS

Michael Asher
August 29, 2007 11:07 AM
In 2004, history professor Naomi Oreskes performed a survey of research papers on climate change. Examining peer-reviewed papers published on the ISI Web of Science database from 1993 to 2003, she found a majority supported the "consensus view," defined as humans were having at least some effect on global climate change. Oreskes' work has been repeatedly cited, but as some of its data is now nearly 15 years old, its conclusions are becoming somewhat dated.

Medical researcher Dr. Klaus-Martin Schulte recently updated this research. Using the same database and search terms as Oreskes, he examined all papers published from 2004 to February 2007. T

When non-Christians use logic, physical evidence, and scientific evidence in an attempt to disprove Christianity, Christians often resort to the faith defense, which is that if one has faith in God, they know he is real. When Christians attempt to prove that their God is real, they cite subjective situations, such as miracles performed by God, God’s guidance with decision making, and strength given by God to make it through difficult times. All of this proof given by Christians is subjective and can be interpreted differently by different people. What some Christians call a medical miracle, someone else might call coincidence or medically explainable. What some Christians might call guidance received from God, others might call use of consciousness, intelligence, or morality. What some Christians might attribute to strength given by God, others might say comes from moral support from friends and family, individual perseverance, or mental toughness. Much of the evidence used by non-Christians to disprove the Christian God is objective, undisputed fact and/or basic use of logic. Do Christians have any evidence that is not subjective? By the way, the Bible is an object, but its’ authenticity is questionable and its’ meanings are heavily disputed, even amongst Christians.

[Spoken:]
One month ago today
I was happy as a lark
But now I go for walks
To the movies - maybe to the park

And have a seat on the same old bench
To watch the children play (huh)
You know, tomorrow is their future
But to me, just another day

They all gather around me
They seem to know my name
We laugh, tell a few jokes
But it still doesn't ease my pain

I know I can't hide from a memory
'Though day after day I've tried
I keep sayin' she'll be back
But today again I lied

Oh, I see her face everywhere I go
On the street, and even at the picture show
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Oh, I hear her voice as the cold winds blow
In the sweet music on my radio
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Why, oh, why
Did she have to leave and go away (oh, yeah)

Oh-oh-oh, I've been used to havin' someone to lean on
And I'm lost
Baby, I'm lost (Oh)

Oh, she left her kiss upon my lips
But left that break within my heart
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Oh, I see her hand reaching out to me
Only she can set me free
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

[Spoken:]
As another day comes to an end
I'm lookin' for a letter or somethin'
Anything that she would send
With all the people I know
I'm still a lonely man
You know, it's funny
I thought I had her in the palm of my hand

[Repeat to fade:]
Have you seen her
Tell me, have you seen her (tell me, have you seen her?)

The above question regarding abortion elicited some answers pointing to prevention of unplanned pregnancy (i.e. education and access to birth control for all) as a solution. It is certainly the case that many problems exist that lead to pregnancy which would need to be eliminated before we could eliminate abortion (rape, abuse, lack of education, etc.) What do you think about focusing on education, access to birth control, and fighting sexual abuse rather than focusing on abortion itself to eliminate the "abortion problem"?

I happened to get a couple thumbs down and wondered why that suggestion was viewed negatively

??.

I was raised Catholic and had my First Communion. But later in life, I converted to Lutheran because I do not agree with many Catholic Beliefs.

If I'm in a Catholic church, like for a wedding or funeral, and they offer communion, should I participate? I think that 'technically' I can, because I had my Catholic First Communion. But, I also think that I shouldn't, because I am no longer Catholic.

Does anyone the Catholic church's official view on this? (not just personal opinions)

My wife was rushed to the hospital last night, because she was just sitting there and all of a sudden she was hit with a 103 temperature, and started passing out/throwing up. I've been with her all night, and am home for lunch break now.

She had Pneumonia last week, and just got over it a few days ago.

Now, they are wanting to do a Spinal Tap on her? They want to test her for Menigitis?

Any info about a Spinal Tap and Menigistis is apperciated.
