i was laid off 5 or 6 months ago, i got a job it starts in 2 weeks (been married 6 years with 2 kids) and my husband has been paying the bills but he has been complaining the whole time he says he is tired of it that i should be paying for everything cause a woman should not the man, he says when i get my paychecks i am back to paying everything and i will have to pay him back all that he has calculated he has paid for those months! our son had to go to school with shoes that dont even fit him cause he said i should learn my lesson for not working. we dont have any food in the fridge either, just some hotdogs cause he said this is another lesson. what do you all think i should do?

me and my husband recently loaned his brother 700 dollards b/c even though they are 28 and we are 23 they didn't spend within their means and were behind on bills b/c of not balancing their checkbook. their parents said no claiming they had no money which is a lie and trying to be supportive of my husbands love for his brother i agreed. we lent them this money in april and asked for the 1st payment in june and to be paid 100 dollars every other month allowint them 2 months to get on their feet and a yr to pay it off. it's now the end of sug and payment number 2 and we've recieved nothing from them then they said they had the wornd address and the check got sent back so we gave them our address over 3wks go and nothing. my question is that this was a quiet way to help them an no one knows and my husband got mad about him not showing any priority to attempt to even send 5 dollars and now he's saying he'll ask only when we need the money isn't it more about respect to pay it back and

About two weeks ago, I had a thoracic-lumbar spinal fusion after suffering a burst fracture in my L3. The doctors gave me Tylenol 3 for the pain. For two days in the hospital, they gave me painkillers and narcotics for the pain, then I took an average of about six pills of Tylenol at day for four days. Eventually, I had to ease off because they were making me nauseous so I started taking only two, then one, then a half, then I stopped. Everyday since then (almost a week), I've been getting these bad headaches after I sit/stand/lie down too long and after I eat. Is this codeine withdrawal? How long does it last? Anything I can do, other than take another kind of painkiller? My doctor said that headaches sometimes occur after spinal surgery because of leaking spinal fluid, but there was no fluid around my incision. That's a lot of info, but if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't mean to seem like I'm questioning God, but I see people get blessings I don't think they really deserve while my parents and I are suffering and going w/o. My parents can't make ends meet on their fixed income and I have seziures (which is part of the reason I live w/ them).
I guess I should say that other than the sezuires (which I'm on medication for) I do have my health. I also have small retirement and savings accounts. And I'm thinner than I've been in about 3 yrs. So I have that going for me.
I used to think if I managed my money well maybe God would give me more but that hasn't worked. My parents and I aren't selfish (well, my dad has his moments and I try very hard not to be selfish) so I don't see why we shouldn't get some more blessings. How can I get God to give them to us?

I want to start composting, or at least try it out & see if it is something that I can get the other members of my household to participate with. I spoke to someone at a garden center and was recommended a plastic composting bin for $90. Can composting be done, at a very small scale, in a regular plastic container while we try it out to see if composting is for us? Any other advice for a beginner is also welcome. Thanks!

Yesterday was my last day at work and my co-workers gave me a baby shower. Now I'm thinking about the Thank you notes . A friend told me a big fruit basket with one thank you card adress to everybody will be fine. Do you think individual cards will be better?

Anyone have any ideas to get hubby more interested in helping with the baby? We have a 7 mo old that he ADORES, however it seems to be my responsibility to take care of her. We BOTH work full-time, we don't have the funds to hire a maid or quit our jobs. But he will get home, say he's tired and retreats to the tv all night to leave me to change, feed, bathe, etc the baby. If I ask him to watch her he will but he leaves her in dirty diapers (he didn't notice). Also she's eating solids and if she gets hungry while he's watching her he just hands her a bottle so he can finish his video games. He does a few cleaning things around the house when I don't have time but then he jumps on me about how I don't help out with cleaning enough. His parents where nothing like this, honestly his dad did more around the house than his mom. So I don't know where he's getting this example. Please help! I'm so tired and getting very resentful.
