Examining evidence for what you believe is logical in all cases. Christian or not. It is healthy to require evidence of Christ's claims. Just as Thomas did. He demanded "I won't believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side."(John 20:25) 8 Days later, Jesus honored Thomas's request. Thomas then knew why he believed what he believed. Such understanding is vital.Of course, no matter how thouroughly convincing evidence may be, we must still excersise faith. Jesus invited Thomas to excersice faith; however, the faith that was called for was not blind faith but an informed, intelligent faith, one that is supported by evidence. Believing in something w/o evidence is like jumping into the dark. Faith that is rooted in Truth(that we have reason to believe is objectively true)is what we should be grounded in. Not blind faith. Isn't "Blind Faith" rediculous and an irrelevent term being that evidence has been presented

If you get passed over for a promotion or get laid-off, do you start buying into the class-warfare arguments, just because if something happened to you, that must be what's happening to a hundred and forty million other people in the workforce?

Why? Because it's comforting to think that your tough times are shared? Because it's comforting to blame impersonal forces way beyond your control, and simpler to blame a government official than to blame the consumers who switched from your company's product to another company's product?

Aren't we all better off NOT doing it that way?

Okay, why should I become a Christian? Besides the prospect of a long, hot swim in the lake of fire if I don't conform, name one reason why I should believe in Jesus and why I should go back to Christianity.

*NOTE: I was raised in the religion but renounced it when I realized it was just fear keeping me bound to it.

My Mom doesn't really believe in it either, but I have to go to church with my Grandma a lot. I just don't think a lot of that stuff is true, and telling everyone else I believe is a lie. And that's not good.

honestly, what is your mission as an athiest? i know my calling in life as a Christian is to live truthfully in the word and allow others to see me as a child of God.

Now dont get all nuts and start yelling at me, but i want to know, when you wake up and come on yahoo answers what do you hope to do, dissway me from Christianity, is that your goal? or do you find that you need to load up with scientific prrof of the nonexistence of God just for conversation sake?

all ive ever gotten out of asking these questions are scientific nonsense and alot of sarcasm, so why not actually answer me this time.

I have an 1851 Indian Head $1 coin and I want to find out if it's a copy. All of the ones that I have seen on line that are not real say "COPY" on either side. My coin does not have the word "copy" on it. Does anybody know the exact weight of a real 1851 dollar coin?? this one weighs 18.62 grams
