Teh main church in Egypt is the Coptic Orthodox Church. Followers, named Copts, are somewhere between 8 to 10% of the population. The head of the Coptic Church is currently Pope Shenouda III the 117th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.

There are other christian churches represented in Egypt as well such as; Catholic, Anglican, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Quakers etc... Followers of those churches are mostly foreigners living in Egypt and a very small minority of Egyptians.

Yes. around 10% of the population which ranged about 80 million in july (CIA World factbook). Most of the christians are coptic (9%) and other christians (1%)

About 15% of Egypt is Christian. 95% of that is Copt, with the rest being a diverse mixture mainly resulting from immigration and ex-patriot groups.

well we are 77 million
70 million are muslims and 7 million are christians

i think there are many......
actually i'm not bothered at all with how many Christians or Muslims here in Egypt
we are just Egyptians........ and that is what makes us all "Egyptians" unique :-)
