I have very strong opinions about this question, but I'd like to see what people think about the role of government in society. What services should or shouldn't the government provide? When do you think they've overstepped their bounds? And how do we keep them constrained? How much should we be willing to pay to provide this? Please be specific, as terms like, "providing for the common good" can be easily interpreted to mean whatever you want.

My daughter and I found this stone on our beach on the shores of Lake Erie outside of Buffalo, NY. It is a smooth stone with multiple round "divots" in its surface. These 'divots' are perfect and smooth. I have included these pictures for reference. Please help us solve the mystery of this rock. What caused this? Is it common? My three year-old is asking me questions and I would like to give her some answers. Thank you!!!!

they apparently must have paid them to hire a scientist to seed the clouds and manipulate the weather so Gordon could start on the pole at the Glenn since track position there is so important, right? I'm not asking if someone could have more addictive tendencies, or even things such as depression that could run in the family. I'm asking along the lines of more of a personality trait, such as coldness, a cheery outlook, a "wild child" when the adoptive parents are reserved, things like that. Is it the environment that shapes things like that, or could it be that genetics shape a personality?
