At first, they feel REALLY strange. I blinked like crazy the first day or so that I got them.
It takes a little to get used to them, like a day or so. I could barely put them in the first time, and it took me about an hour! (Seriously!) So if you get them, make sure you have time to put them in and practice first. You have to let your eyes adjust to them, so don't give up the first time. It is annoying because you are afraid to touch your eye, but you get used to it quick.
They cost around $20 per box and go up from there. It depends on what type you want, and if you want colored.
I think they are way better than glasses because I don't have to worry about losing my glasses or forgetting them or such. I don't like the bulk that glasses are so I went the contact route, which in the end is much better.
I can see very well, I mean, there are actually leaves on the trees! Ha ha. But yeah if you get contacts and are having problems, just go talk to your doctor and she/he can adjust them for you. I had a problem where I was seeing double, and it ended up being that I just had the wrong contact.
I occasionally have my contact slide away from the position but otherwise, they stay put. I love them and I am super glad I got them. Hope i helped!

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt at all! To get them in you look sideways into a mirror, place the contact on the white of your eye, then slowly move your eye back the other way to get them onto the coloured part - your optician should explain it to you and show you exactly how to do it.
To get them out you can either slide them to the white part of your eye again and they come out of your eye, or just pinch them gently to make them come out. Its a bit difficult to get it right at first, but don't worry, it doesn't hurt and you'll soon get used to the technique!

I got contacts right before 6th grade & I'm going into 8th this year. It stung for a couple of seconds for me after they were in, but maybe they won't for you (I got soft contacts). The ophthalmologist's assistant showed me how like ten times so I would get the hang of it. Good Luck!

ahh i have contacts i remmeber the first time i went to try them..for me it was hard at first but after awhile i finally got it..and when u get them in ur like yes!
once u wear them often and have them for awhile there a cinch to put in and take out
it hard to explain but before u put them make sure the contact is the right way..ur eye person will tell u about it and such and u put it on ur index finger and like stick on the bottom white part of ur eye then u blink and its like on ur eye-pupil part its really weird
for taking them off u slide it downward across ur eye and the like pinch/grab it off with ur index and thumb
my explaining is kinda messed up but you'll understand when they explain it to u..one of my contacts would sumtimes get tears in them...it was cuz they were dry and whenever i took them out i was slowly stretching or tearing the lens but i got these drops and they work really well and i haven't got tears in them...u just have to be careful with them in handling them and cleaning them and such..trust me they are better than glasses and there a confidence boost
good luck xD

It doens't hurt at all, I have acuvue advance and it doens't feel like anything. Once you get your contacts fitted there will be someone showing you how to put them in and take them off. Once you get used to them it's a breeze. It takes me litterally less than 5 seconds to put them on and take them off, so much better than glasses. =]

ok first of all it doenst hurt in any way unless they're folded they will just bother but it doesnt hurt.......
in the eye doctor they have someone to show you how to put them on at first they will seem like you have something in your eyes but you will be able to blink like always it will just seem a little different then by the next day you wont even feel them dont mess with them after you have them on they will irritate your eye..... that is the best thing that ever happened to me i love mine!

You kind of "pinch" it off your eye. You are pinching the contact, not your eye. It doesn't hurt, but you'll have to get used to touching your eyeball without blinking. It's no big deal.
