Currently the many agencies aren't reaching most families' need by a long shot. Too much $$ wasted in administration costs. One blanket service is needed, with an information package for all carers about how/where they can get help and support and funds for respite care be paid direct to families. We need a real committment by Government (Feds and State together) to provide/build actual facilities for housing, respite and education facilities. Carers need real and ongoing support not just bandaid -type fixes, when our lives are torn apart and it's far too late to come back from, (DHS method currently)
We don't have holidays or even manage to get a haircut very often, it is very insulting to read about pay rises and super payouts to politicians all the time when I have no super for my future and I cannot contribute to it through no fault of my own. I will be one of many carers hopeful of a pension if they exist in 20 yrs. We need support so we can work too, it's not too much to ask .

Fatty and rich food disagrees with me. If I eat too much of things like cream, butter or pate, I sometimes get stomach cramps that can last a day or more. I’m also trying to lose some weight, so I try to avoid fatty food for that reason too.
However, my boyfriend is an enthusiastic cook and loves to mess about in the kitchen making elaborate meals and quite often these involve the use of cream, butter, olive oil etc.
I’ve explained to him (several times) that I prefer not to have fat added to my food but it goes in one ear and out the other. If I ask him not to use butter, the dish is swimming in olive oil instead! If I say I want a nice simple bit of chicken or fish for dinner I get it fried, not grilled.
Last night he made a Beef Wellington, which is first smothered in pate and then baked in a pastry case - both pate and pastry being really high in fat, of course. He was so looking forward to eating it, and it took him ages to make so I didn’t say anything but just ate it, and

I know you usually do it the other way around. It's usually pretty easy to find the origins of a word, but sometimes I'm curious what other English words come from the same Latin or Greek or other root - like cavalry and chivalry from caballus.
Is there a name for words that come from the same root? There should be.
I'm very, very not a linguistical person (ha ha). But I enjoy digging around in word origins.
By thw way, if you love words, check out "Word Myths: Debunking Linguistic Urban Legends" by David Wilton.
Thanks a lot.

I am an atheist myself but sometimes I think that without religion the world would be a little crazy. The only thing that stops a lot of people from doing bad things is that they think they will go to hell. The only thing that makes a lot of people do good things is that they think they will go to heaven. It's sad.

But then another thing that crosses my mind is that more people have died because of religion than any other cause.

I had a lot of trouble wording this question, especially since I just woke up 10 minutes ago. I would just like some opinions.

I just wonder why some can't be good people just for the sake of being good people.

AND please remember that I said SOME not all. Everytime I ask a question with the word "some" in it Christians turn it around like i said "all".
