Assuming life as such has a grand purpose, it is only logical to infer that such a purpose would have been forged by the Creator of all lives and therefore, it must be His baby to take care of. So far as any of us is individually concerned, it would make sense to leave that grand purpose to the good care of the great Creator and indulge in improving our own individual life.... which incidentally is not mere procreation and recreation since we know that does not quite satisfy us sufficiently enough.... what more is required could well be a pursuit of lasting happiness which may take some on the path of knowledge and take others on the path of service..... either way it would result in forgetting oneself..... and that is the magic formula for greater happiness.

Life has a meaning but it isn't only one meaning. It's different for every life that is currently existing, making it unique from each other.

Life in general is like a circle track. We run and run with no point of origin nor point of destination. We just continue running until we can't anymore and when that day comes we finally are able to exit the track and continue on to something we can't imagine as of present.

Real meaning comes from living for a real reason/purpose. Real purpose refers to "why was I put here on earth?" and "what was I meant to do?". Real purpose requires a Creator by definition.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

While we can't get real meaning without God, we can create the illusion which is what people are talking about when they tell us to create our own meaning. There are several psychological techniques that help. The main one is to do something praise worthy such as volunteer at a homeless shelter. Next praise yourself and imagine the praise of others and you will get this feeling of self worth. Next, tell yourself that volunteering at a homeless shelter is why you were placed on this earth. The reality is that it is all based on your own good feelings but we can trick ourselves into thinking that it is real purpose.

Life has as much meaning as you, yourself are willing to put into it. The meaning of life is to Know Thy Self and manifest this "Self" in all that you do. It is to know why you are the way you are, to know your source and origin that exceeds what you think you are (your physical self). The ultimate objective is to become complete, all of life is evolving towards its omega of being, its eventual perfected nature and it all serves the reality of Knowing Thy Self.

Yes, we're traveling through space at a tremendous speed.
As far as meaning, life is what you make it.
Even though religions' say there's an afterlife, I wouldn't put my left knacker on it, so make this life count.

I think that we just plug along waiting for death. There's nothing to do for it so in the time in between try to live the best you can and make life good for the people around you.
