i have had a cold for 2 days, and today i've drank lots of tea and a mocha frap from starbucks. i feel better now that i've had the caffine, but is it bad for you while you have a cold?

The problem is that when I asked him to be my best man, I told him, "Don't worry about buying a present. Let your tux rental [$75] be your present." He heeded my advice, and all went well.

He and his fiancee are holding a wedding about 10 times bigger than the one I had, and as best man, I am of course getting my own tux. It will cost me twice what his did 5 years ago, about $150, and we have not discussed the matter further.

However, I have also received the formal invitation from the bride's parents, showing where they are registered, which makes me think I'm expected to buy a gift as well. I don't want to be known as the cheap best man, but I'm not thrilled about spending over $200 when my friend spent $75. From an etiquette standpoint, what's the best way to approach this?

HI, ill make this as quick as possible but wanted some other parents advice.

My in laws and i have never gotten along no matter how hard i try...to give a quick example after my hubby asked me to marry him and told his family his sisters still kept up pics on their refriderators of him and his ex who they all like.
We have been married a year and have a baby girl (4months) and when we had her they decided they wanted to be nice to me.
Last night they invited us to a birthday dinner.......failed to tell us that it was ONLY for the girls in the family...so my hubby came (thank god)and the WORST part of all was they invited his EX to be there knowing very well that we will have nothing to do with her let alone be in the same room (she told his family a bunch of horrible lies about him she is seriously evil) So we got there and were completely blindsided.
My question...how am i supposed to get along with them? I AM SO ANGRY any one else have this problem? How did you deal with it

Right now, when I press the unlock button on the keyfob it will unlock the driver side door only. I have to press it twice to unlock both doors. How do I change it so that both doors unlock at once?

What do you think about all-girls? Who thinks public schools are better, and why?

I grew up going to public school, but when I finished my two year GT magnet program in elementary school, I decided to give private school a try. I went to an all-girls private school for two years, and the education was pretty good, but there is too much homework, I have no real friends, and the girls are shallow, passive-aggressive, spoiled, sheltered, etc. Now I'm returning to public school for 8th grade to start from scratch as a new girl. It's a pretty big blind leap, because I don't know anyone there and I'm not sure what to expect. I wonder if public school is any different that what it was when I was in 5th grade. Anyway, I'd say I have a pretty negative opinion about private school. What about you all?

I was recently in an an accident where the other party claimed fault. My car was totaled, and I have been in touch with the other party's insurance. They sent me an appraisal which was low, and doesn't seem to have included the following:
- Lo-jack
- Extended warranty on the vehicle
- Trim of the car

Also, the zip code on the appraisal was wrong (maybe intentionally so) When I check on Edmunds or KBB, the private party value is at least 3K higher.

I am going to talk again with the insurance company, but any tips on how to proceed with this? I cannot go to an appraiser it seems since I do not have comprehensive insurance. I am based in California. Thanks

I have worked for six months with an organization providing services to a target population. I worked as a program analyst and was doing work to devise better means of implementing the program. In addition, I have experience in writing grants and personnel management, and wanted to try to expand the organization to a different service area, so I contacted the primary service delivery agent in that area to tell them that I was interested in going through the process of setting up the nonprofit. A few days later, I got a call asking if I gave out proprietary information (which I didn't, because everything I mentioned in the e-mail was all ready known to everyone of importance in that service area). Clearly, I said no, because I hadn't, but I was fired a few afterward because I had "lied" about it. I pointed out that there was no proprietary information in what I had released, and was slammed by the HR person because that was a "technicality". I screwed up, but what can I do?

Im doing electric blue zoot suits for my wedding, but i cant find them anywhere! anyone know where to go?
we have searched everywhere including online. my fiance wants to buy his not rent, i dont think he cares if the groomsmen buy or rent theirs. he wants to find both electric blue suits with black pinstripes and black zoot suits with electric blue pinstripes. please any info would be very much appreciated!

I just read Harry Potter 7 – The Deathly Hallows (stop reading this question if you haven’t finished the book), and I can’t help but be confused by the ending. Here are my questions:

1) Why exactly was Harry the rightful owner of the Elder wand and why didn’t Voltemorte’s spells cause any damage to Harry?

2) While Harry was looking into the Pensieve, he saw Snape having a conversation with Dumbledore in which Dumbledore stated that Harry and Voltemorte would have to kill each other in order to end Voltemorte’s existence. Apparently, a piece of Voltemort’s soul had entered Harry after he was killed, so the only way to finish him was to make sure that Harry died too. However, Harry lives at the end of the book. Was Dumbledore simply incorrect about Harry needing to die?

3) When Harry is knocked out with the killing curse, he goes into a dream like state. He has a conversation with Dumbledore, and there is a crying baby in the dream. What was this crying baby?
