Along with the problem of dehydration mentioned above, caffeine keeps you awake, whereas to get over a cold the best thing to do is get some rest.

no, but I want tea when I am sick. Caffeine has some good effects they are finding if you limit yourself to 2 or 3 cups a day

Caffeine dehydrates you. If you drink it, do it in moderation and make sure you get plenty of other liquids.

nah, it gives you the energy to get out of bed and start doing things, just stick to coffee, dont drink any dark colas.
