I experienced 1st hand a federal disaster--declared as such by our govt. and all this money was allotted/pledged/promised/etc for repairs. Even so, nothing has been done to prevent this from reoccuring. Many "projects" just haven't gotten done and there are those that will never get done as they deal with private property and the bulk of the disaster occured on private property--located by federal property that had something done to it that probably contributed to the private property being destroyed. I get the feeling that this happens quite often. All these monetary figures alloted for aid make the news and govt. reports and no one ever sees a dime because everything happens on private property. What do you think? No advice on getting an attorney please, just tell me what you think.

in britain years before it was abolished in america). we have had calls for britain to apologise for the slavery, we have even had people in the street chaining themselves up wearing sorry placards . Britains stance on this is that even though slavery was a terrible evil and a dark period in britains history, we cannot apologise for this because there is not one person alive in britain today, who has any direct association with the slave trade. if that were the case, then the germans, french (normans), danes(vikings) and italians (romans), would have to apologise to us for invading the uk many years ago. What is the american view of this given that the US and UK were basically partners in this appaling trade

why cant israel give palestiniens citizenship?? they live there!!1 why cant they have the same right? and have the right to vote??? arent they humans like all of us?? why do they keep them in a prison ( closed borders)???

Who cares that we share some dna with chimps. What does that REALLY prove? Nothing other than the fact that we are earth-based life forms. We were created to live in the same atmosphere and eat some of the same foods. It doesn't mean we COME FROM THEM.

The truck driver would not have hit the bus otherwise and did this in an act of altruism.
